Keep the laughs coming please. Lol, rage monster. May you have a constant stream of festivals to release your rage, sir.

I saw a local drifter come into town in 1846 in what is now known as the "Toyota Center" and perform at the local saloon. His name?

Is it strange that basically nothing else has been said/reported/verified about HPD Chief saying someone had been stuck? That's a pretty explosive allegation to make and have no substantive proof? Especially after the lecture from Sly about not believing everything you see on social media?

**** Travis Scott. He had the opportunity to control the crowd. But egged it on. The performer needs to take ownership as well and can see what's going on in the crowd.

I've been to a megadeth concert where some kid was getting pinned and crowed getting too close to comfort to the stage. He stopped in the middle of the song and told the crowd to get it together, pulled that kid out of the crowd and then continued once security and concert goers un**** themselves.

And you have giant music festivals in Europe that manage to pull it off as well. Tomorrowland for instance.

Why in the world would someone take a 9 year old child (who shouldn't be listening to that music to begin with) to that absolute sh-t show?

Devastating. I just can't imagine.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families and loved ones impacted so powerfully by this.

Former Cy-Fair cheerleader was one of the Astroworld victims

Friends who knew Madison Dubiski describe her as pure sunshine. The 23-year-old was the kind of person who lit up a room.

Madison and her younger brother, Ty Dubiski a fellow Cy-Fair bobcat, class of 2019 attended the 2021 Astroworld Festival together. During headliner Travis Scott's performance, the siblings reportedly got separated.

Holding his sister's hand, Ty tried to pull Madison to safety. But their grasp slipped, and she disappeared into the crowd, according to social media posts.

Madison's favorite color was pink. She attended the University of Mississippi and worked in advertising and marketing.

That should have been on the promoters to limit it to adult only, or 13+ at least.

But we seriously considered taking the family to ACL this year. They didn't have a lot of the kid stuff like in years past, so we didn't. My kids have friends who went though and they are younger then 9. It's changed how I view concerts though, especially as a parent. I went to a bunch as a older teenager/college kid, but **** like this never happened.

I took my 6 year old to an Angels and Airwaves concert because we are big Blink fans and Angels fans. I took into consideration the venue, Moody Theatre in Austin, bought her hearing protection and we had some great seats in the balcony and it was not packed at all up there. We danced the night away and made some amazing memories.

It's all in the risk management and planning stages of doing something like this with kids. "What demographic would be at an Angels and Airwaves concert, what type of music is it, where are the seats.....etc"

I won't be taking her to a metal show until her teens but same concept there. And even so, I went to a metal show in NC and I moshed the night away. I fell down a time or two, just like everyone else, but as soon as you fall down, 2-3 people quickly scooped you up so you don't get hurt. Just the way things are done at that style of concert.

So I see a lot of you guys referencing mosh pits but was this a mosh pit got wrong? I thought this was just way too many people in a small area with no where to go.

Seems completely different than a mosh pit gone wrong.
MarathonAg12

It wasn't a mosh pit gone wrong, it was a concert gone wrong......I was just referencing how different crowds can be a various concerts.

The fact that this behavior is encouraged to his concert goers is terrible....he was arrested in 2017 for inciting the crowd and has had charges pressed on him because of similar behavior two years earlier in Chicago.

I've been watching numerous videos from the concert. Concert goers were climbing the camera towers and screaming for the concert to stop....but they told them to go away.

It was logistics more then anything. 90% of the people in the crowd thought it was a normal show until they got home.

There's a thread on Reddit under r/travisscott that has a bunch of first hand accounts. My big takeaways were:

-there was no easy escape on the front right side because they were sandwiched in by the VIP tents and the Apple Music cameras.

-there were weird tiles on the floor in that front area that became slippery by the end of the night and may not have been set properly, so people would get stuck on them once they fell. People were unsure if they were supposed to light up or possibly raise, it seemed like there was a mechanism to them.

-the pyrotechnics really screwed up what little airflow they had and once the fires on stage started, it went downhill really quick and multiple people said it felt like the oxygen was sucked out of the crowd at one time.

-little free water and it seemed bad (cloudy/smelly), lines were long everywhere. took hours to get food/water.

-even the Don Toliver show earlier in the day had issues in that front right section with people passing out, it was just little bit better conditions since it wasn't as crowded and it was still light out.

-Travis Scott was late coming to stage. The timer would keep restarting and crushes happened every time it got to zero, even though he never came out. There was also some kind of heartbeat music that continuously sped up in the background for hours that people said was giving them headaches & a hard frequency to listen to repeatedly.

-people that weren't in that front right area generally had a good time. Some people in the front left area had issues, but could escape before things got too bad. Some did so because they could feel something wasn't right in the crowd.

I wouldn't let this deter you from taking the kids to ACL, ACL is a much bigger place, we took two kids under 3 this year and they loved it, we never really got in a crowd except when going through the gates. We only stayed through 1-2 songs of the headliners

Next year they will likely have Austin Kiddie Limits back which makes it an even better place to take kids. There were a ton of kids their this year.

I'm honestly surprised a show like this would even let people under 16 in, I don't ever remember seeing little kids at Buzzfest, which iwas similarly much more adult themed

Okay. Guess I was wrong but it sure looks very similar to them.

The guy and girl are about the same height, like Alex and Reagan.
The guy has short hair.
She has long blonde hair.
They're right behind Bagwell.

I heard an interview on the radio this morning with the grandfather. He sounds like he's in his early 40s. He had all the plaintiff talking points memorized.
The story isn't that [DeSantis] "couldn't win" the primary. The story is that an overwhelming majority of our population is heinously stupid. 50% of them vote for communists. 75% of the remaining 50% vote for Trump, who cant win. When the majority of the opposition party insists on voting for an opposition candidate who can't win, you get exactly the government you deserve. - Well Endowed Ag

I personally would not bring my 10 yo to a Travis Scott show but it was an ALL AGES show, so there is a reasonable expectation of safety. I'm sure that the father is dealing with enough pain and guilt so I will pray for them and withhold judgement.

A lot of the first hand accounts I've read talk about how people wanted to stay in the back of the crowd and had plenty of room to move around back there until right before TS went on. Then waves of huge pushes would move the entire crowd up 5 yards at a time and compact everyone in more and more. It's very possible the father thought they were safely in the back but quickly got swept by the crowd and into the mess.

Also, TS does a lot of marketing to the teen/pre-teen demographic (first major McDonald's celebrity meal, fortnite emote, Reese's cereal, etc) so I would bet the boy was a big fan.

Thats a solid list of defendants. Buzbee will get these people compensated. Everybody s**** on lawyers until you need one.
