That's sad. A lot of those videos are just sad. The guys jumping on the medic mule. Guys being passed back unconscious.

This will be an interesting case study, because no one person can see all the things going on, the performers usually can see very little of the crowd because of the lights and then you likely have two different security forces, one to protect the performer and one to protect the patrons. The performers security is probably well trained to protect the performer the other security is probably whoever they could find for the low wage the promoter was offering. Then you have the AV crew who probably take orders from someone, and if you stopped a concert every time a fan broke through the barrier to get on stage, you wouldn't have many concerts. In this case it sounds like no one had the full picture of what was happened and no one person was in charge. These type of events need some type of mission control that monitors cameras all over the venue but I am sure that's an expensive proposition


And now you also have videos like the overrunning of the VIP entrance and the dancing on the mule video which may or may not be related to the actual incident but may just be examples of poor/criminal behavior not related to the deaths directly

There's so much liability here it's unreal. I wouldn't be surprised to see some sort of negligent homicide/manslaughter. Poor planning, poor training, and outright hostile response to a plea for medical help.

Sounds like more should've been done to have more trained medical personnel on site. But anytime a crowd of this size decides to not comply, not sure what security/cops could do to keep it under control outside of riot control measures.

This isnt going to be about people not complying. Its not really about numbers of medical personnel available either. Its going to end up being all about the design and capacity of the venue. Whether they set up adequate breaks or aisles to stop people moving forward directly into other people, or whether flaws existed such as being set up to funnel a huge number of people at the back of the crowd into a tiny choke point. Its going to be about things that should have been ironed out way in advance, in planning and permitting.

Secondarily it will be about security and operations on site who didn't know enough to even understand what was actually happening and what was causing it.

That update about the security guard was kind of wild. He felt a stick in the back of his neck and went unconscious in the medical tent. They found a mark on his neck consistent with an injection.
