Anyone know anything about SBISD pre-K program?
Our 4 year old is gonna be in pre-K next fall and we're starting to look around and find out what kinda options we got.
Our kid started pre-k in a dual language program.
I posted this back in February:
My kid did the dual language at cedar brook elementary. We think it definitely put him behind on language arts once he got to middle school, but that was a minor issue as he was able to get up to speed quickly. Cedar Brook is by no means a great elementary but the dual language program was a better option than the local elementary we are zoned to. The upside was that by doing the d/l in elementary it helped him get into corner stone academy for middle school. Corner stone has been a phenomenal experience. Outstanding teachers and staff, all ap classes. Kid will be a freshman next year and he was able to choose what high school he wanted to go and he picked Spring Woods. We had concerns about spring woods hs, but after wife and I had a meeting with the principal and touring the campus we feel great about the boy going there.
ETA: re dual language program, Our kid didn't learn to speak Spanish, but it made the middle school Spanish classes a little easier.
