That's the cocktail linked to above. I would have no idea what to do with that if it showed up at my table. Though at $35 I assume it comes with an owner's manual.
Is that a crack pipe coming out of the cocktail?

I think you can get the same cocktail for a better price at Lola's.

Any why is it sitting on a leather chair? Is sniffing farts a part of the experience?

And speaking of the Dirty Branch... didn't realize people really cared about the "dirty" Branch.

Drove home on Sunday and saw a Truck with a "Keep Spring Branch Dirty" sticker on it... Had to laugh.

Urban Farmland is an interesting new term. Calling a 50x100 plot anything related to a farm seems like a major stretch. But hey, if it helps express your dreams on LoPo then more power to you.

If this place gets too crowded you can always grab a tall boy at the Valero a few steps away until space opens up inside one of these places.

Wonder if they test the soil from that "Urban Farmland"?

Yes, love the Boozenasium but haven't been since moving back to Timbergrove and letting TBONES fill my dive bar void.

Are they open?

Might as well is fine but old school Dirty Branchers will tell you Robbie's was infinitely better. And it was.

I got profiled trying to go to Robbies just before it closed; Tuesday evening around 10 I walked in wanting one more beer I didn't need and the bartender said they were closed but three old dudes were smoking drinking beer. Oh well.

Robbies was interesting. I only went 4-5 times. The first time I got lots of questions but seemed to pass them and allowed to stay. It definitely catered to the long time regulars.

Each time the closing time would change and how much I got charged for each beer depending on how the lady working the bar felt.

Might As Well is definitely more inviting but it lacks the excitement of going in wondering if you're gonna get served and for how much and how long.

Anyone know what's going where the Shadowdale boat and RV storage in the old grain silos currently are? FIL had his rv there and they got noticed that they're getting redeveloped. Just helped him get his rv out and the only place he could find a stall is up in spring.

I learned of this place way to late. We probably hit it up a dozen times in its last 6 months of existence.

Not sure if it has survived the rona, but might as well lounge on long point had a similar vibe. Edit: guess everyone was discussing above...

Can you relate to normal people and not be a pretentious *******? If so, no problem at all. If not, nature will run it's course. Good luck!

Make sure you don't have to take a **** cause their bathroom is tiny and I wouldn't want to have to sit on the toilet.

I don't remember much from that night but I know I didn't put that dollar in nor remove it. The goon is cool, especially on karaoke nights.

I think I went there for a couple drinks some random weeknight last year when a couple buddies had off, but it was one stop in the middle of an uber cruise of the branch. We're not the fanciest of lads so it was fine for us, but I'm not sure if it's a place I'd recommend to frat guys or hipsters who "love dive bars." But again, I might have some places and names mixed up. Do they have a decent sized wooden deck out back?

Yep, sounds like the place.

And imo it's like any other dive bar mostly dominated by locals, the people are cool if you're cool. A bunch of 079 or 024'ers storming in loud and obnoxious might not be received well.

Can't remember her name, but there's a petite chick who frequents there who is impossible to beat in a thumb war.

Our kid started pre-k in a dual language program.

I posted this back in February:
My kid did the dual language at cedar brook elementary. We think it definitely put him behind on language arts once he got to middle school, but that was a minor issue as he was able to get up to speed quickly. Cedar Brook is by no means a great elementary but the dual language program was a better option than the local elementary we are zoned to. The upside was that by doing the d/l in elementary it helped him get into corner stone academy for middle school. Corner stone has been a phenomenal experience. Outstanding teachers and staff, all ap classes. Kid will be a freshman next year and he was able to choose what high school he wanted to go and he picked Spring Woods. We had concerns about spring woods hs, but after wife and I had a meeting with the principal and touring the campus we feel great about the boy going there.

ETA: re dual language program, Our kid didn't learn to speak Spanish, but it made the middle school Spanish classes a little easier.

I have a kid at Wildcat Way this year.

SBISD has 5 PreK centers as well as PreK at the some of the elementary schools. The schools have a lottery system to get in to them. The PreK centers I believe are automatic if you're in the attendance feeder pattern and accept transfers if room is available (you'll have to verify the transfer info, not really sure how it works).

https://www.springbranchisd.com/schools/maps/feeder-patterns

You're actually already behind... Wildcat Way hosted 3 virtual school tours/Q&A sessions in January. Registration is currently open I believe.

Generally, the easiest way to find information is to get on the phone and talk to the schools. The website usually doesn't give you tons of information.
