CDub, do you live there? We are moving to Houston and I'm trying to figure out neighborhoods close-in that still have great options for school/daycare for a 2-1/2 year old and family-friendly restaurants where we can also get a beer.

Be on the lookout for this place, should be a good sports bar:

Neighborhood Watch is one of the worst ideas ever. An old man with a flashlight slowly driving around in his Honda just looks like a pedophile, not a deterrent to criminals.

Single mom who can afford private school? Hmmmm...maybe she just needs to get out and have a little fun.

We have a young man that lives with either his parents or grandparents in our neighborhood...he has some mental issues and is seen walking around the hood ...looking kind of like a homeless person and mumbling to himself. Harmless guy. At least once every couple of months someone posts his picture in our Nextdoor alerts section and says something like "watch out for this dangerous looking individual...". Come on people, do a little search on Nextdoor and you will find that he lives around us and is harmless.
