Got about 2 inches in Rockwall.
As for the hurricane appearance, I learned a new term yesterday "Wake Low". Had big winds at the house as the rain was ending.
A wake low is an area of low pressure that forms behind a squall line. It's even more common for them to form behind squall lines that also have a big shield of rain behind it. This causes a tighter pressure gradient and very strong winds near it. #dfwwx #WakeLow https://t.co/y8lFYxl7jt

About 2.25". With Monday little over 4". In lakewood.
These have been good soaking rains.
2" seems low for yesterday? It rained straight for about 24 hours. I didn't realize Monday rained that hard. My fathers rain gauge in grapevine showed similar results.

Spring like severe storms. Heavy rain, wind, hail, possible tornadoes. Many high schools moved up their Friday night games to last night.

Have a feeling there's is going to be a lot of cramping and farting but little rain fall.
News this morning is showing like it'll be more concentrated to far north Texas (Grayson, Fannin, etc) and southern Oklahoma and then intensifying as it moves east. Rockwall east could be a lot more rain. East Texas going to get hammered.
DFW will likely be smaller intensified pockets and then shaping up as the front solidifies to form a squall line going east at a quick clip.

Would prefer no severe weather here at th ehome of the Rangers and Cowboys, but a nice long rain would be nice.

All of north Texas and a good chunk of OK are now in a tornado watch. Valid until 8:00 PM tonight.

By the way, in the graphic, the peach colored parallelogram, is an underlying severe thunderstorm watch. Kind of redundant to the tornado watch but it's there.

It has been raining hard in Burleson for a while now. The lightning is intensifying.

Wind near Allen looks pretty rough, according to RadarScope.
