We got our power back on. We were out from about 3:30 yesterday until 10 this morning.
Oncor had me at 8:00am, then 10:30am, now 5:30pm.
(4:45pm edit: now estimating midnight)

Glad you posted this. I called the neighbor and she said she was scheduled to get power in 30mins so I didn't bother with dragging out the generator.
Sure enough she didn't have power when I just checked on her. So I hooked up my generator to her fridge and freezer

Oh that stinks. That happened to us back in 2018 or so when that big downburst hit East Dallas. Basically we were out for 5 days.

East Dallas is a magnet for severe weather. Hail from the 2012 storm. Was probably a third bigger than that before I got to it.
I remember that storm. Had a house in the short streets in Junius Heights right off Swiss. Hail punched through the garage roof. Could see the sky.

Roofers Paradise after that one. Every roof in our neighborhood got wiped out along with windows and many cars.
Still no power in lower greenville. Website says 2am now but they are constantly pushing it back.

I can see rain north of McKinney. Nothing directly on us though

Now at 40 days straight with no precip. 25th or so longest streak on record. The second longest streak was a couple months back at 67 days. The record is 84 days in 2000.
No rain at the house yesterday in Rockwall. Hopefully that changes over the weekend.
Didn't realize we are currently 2nd driest year to date. Hope we can get more than 3 inches the rest of the year.

That statement is for Waco area...not sure it holds true for DFW.
Aside from our wettest 24 hrs ever that we had over a month ago now we've had nothing since. Doubt we are looking much better.
Not going to be a great year but at least according to national weather service, with 3 months left to go we are already past a handful of years this century. Nowhere near near worst in recorded history levels.

Yeah, I read that wrong when I posted. Saw the on the news we are above 20" at DFW this year.
