NWS has pretty mild outlook so far. Unless something changes drastically toMorrow with the models it seems like schools should not cancel.

We've had a number of services that do drop off deliveries on Wednesday. They cancelled. Vet called, appointment cancelled for Thursday. School email already blasted. So expecting cancellation.

And now that I think about. Mail didn't come last Friday and Saturday. Recycle didn't come last week either. Likely due to the upcoming inclement weather this coming week.

This one is shaping up nicely.

Storms tonight are coming through harder that expected.

If the shallow cold air comes through quicker and without stalling then it just depends on where the precip falls

Storms tonight will have 0 impact on the cold front and icy conditions. Tomorrow will be 60's and the rain tonight and any leftover water will be long gone.

Ha not saying that they would.

It's more that our forecasts aren't great and we have a chance at a winter storm for DFW. It could be a nothing burger but it seems more like this is shaping up to be bad for Texas and question in now for where

We got hammered in Highland Village at 3am. Been here for 35 years and I have never seen it hail that heavy so quickly. I have seen larger hail but it was like being in a very heavy down pour but it was hail. Thank god it only lasted about 3 minutes. Quarter and marble size.

Weather.com being stubborn then...they seem to indicate still a very slight warm-up and no freeze until 3am tomorrow...will be interesting to see if holds....the longer the better.

zero impact? Not trying to panic, but if there's any ice on the roads I want no part of driving out there. Espcially knowing how many terrible drivers there are in DFW

I'm hesitant to believe ice even sticks, but if it does, .1" of ice is enough to cause issues. Our school just sent a note that they didn't anticipate closure, but here is the plan just in case there are issues. I appreciate it as a parent, so we can plan accordingly.

Yeah, it doesn't take much actual ice to really F things up. And side streets that school buses deal with tend to be the worst outside of bridges/overpasses
