I thought it was known that air temps are measured 6 to 8 feet above ground. I think it means in outlying areas you can expect a slight frost given humidity, very little breeze if any, and cold temps. It might be 31 at 6" but 38 at 6'.

Was at park with kids around 2 and it was warm and by 3 we could feel the front coming…the park emptied out almost immediately.

Flowers covered. Outside faucets covered. Water will soon be dripping. Hope it's short enough to not have power issues.

Well I'm looking at a low of 22 here in north Dallas. I didn't cover my shrubs that are borderline zone 8. I hope I don't regret that but I also don't have enough cover anyway.

Likely. If it stayed below freezing for a good period of time I'd be concerned. But <12 hours with the ground temp being 60-70? I don't know. This is a quick freeze.
