Anyone know the road situation? Most of my team members are still WFH or can walk to office. I have one guy that goes from Arlington to SW FW. Want to make sure he doesn't drive if not warranted.

Thanks. Reached out to our guy and told him to come in later this morning.
Definitely smart. We have delayed all of our DFW branches honestly until 9am. Delivery trucks aren't hitting the road until further notice.

Yeah, I went to Camp Gladiator this morning in South Arlington and can attest the streets are very slippery. Can't drive faster than about 10 mph.
It's funny. Lewisville, Frisco and Little elm are all still open. Prosper, McKinney, plano, Richardson are closed.
Some spots in Arlington this morning were pretty slick, particularly through Pantego and up towards Cooper.
Just drove from LH to Frisco. Roads much slicker in LH and north Dallas than north of PGBT
FWIW - my wife had two kidney transplants today and those bad boys can't wait - god bless her, she left at 4 AM this morning and got to her hospital in Dallas about 5:30. Please stay home if you can. The ice is spotty and no telling when you're gonna hit the bad one.

Am I missing something or did the major news station miss on warnings for this? They are usually going overboard with the notifications.
Nanny's husband is a logistics manager for a big trucking company and sees updates from TxDOT and fire/EMS. It is a madhouse out there. There are known fatalities in a couple of the wrecks and they can't get to them.
Ice is tricky anywhere but in states/locales where it's uncommon, they have to do better with prepping bridges and overpasses.

Watching NBC, they definitely were saying there was a chance to be bad this morning. The hard part to predic was places that got hit, got hit hard l, and others completely missed.

My wife is going to quit her job tomorrow and they are forcing her to come in today by 10 AM. It's a 45 min commute normally from Crowley to Colleyville. No way she makes it by 11 even at this point going through 35, 20, 820, and 183/121.
I can't even think right now. Why can't she give her notice now?

Days like today make me extremely grateful for my surface street only commute. Still, even residential streets had some ice accumulation in East Dallas.

Just drove from Arlington to Midlothian. Lots of accidents around overpasses. Kept it under 50 on the highways and 30 or less on the bridges and didn't have any issues. Lots of idiots out there not taking this serious despite the carnage in the ditches and bridges.
I'm hearing constant sirens at my house here in North Dallas.
I mean you go out and look at the txdot webcams there's hardly anything on the roads anywhere except the mad max spot on 35, and a tiny patch on 75 in Plano.
