Snowing at my in-laws in north Arlington
Just occasional light snow here. I believe there are now multiple water main breaks including the Ridglea area.
I've talked to the neighbors and everyone is out over here. I guess that's better than frozen pipes.EwingBarnes said:

Denton County Fresh Water Supply District 10 water tower is empty and the lines a empty. They don't have power to pump or refill tower. Just had to walk a buddy through draining every line after shutting off main house valve and turning off / draining tankless water heater. They're saying Atmos is threatening shutting down the natural gas supply. Anyone have information on that?
Why are we running out of water?? People running their faucets?
If true what's the next domino that falls? I guess those so-called preppers aren't looking quite so ridiculous now.

Pump stations are frozen or don't have power. Some water mains breaking.

If there was something that was ever deemed essential, you would think it would be our water supply
Thanks for the offers. We have enough drinking water... The snow is for flushing. We're cooking it because a bathtub full of 1 degree snow refused to melt. This stuff is dirty as hell anyway but I'm trying to avoid the really dirty stuff.

Should definitely teach us to bury pipes an extra couple feet going forward. Especially in neighborhoods. This is just insane and lazy on our state and Ercot's behalf. I'm guessing the lawsuits will be coming soon. **** is like China; being told when you can or cannot use power during winter

Remote monitoring my house in 75080, it had power off and on last night. Got a notification from spectrum that my internet was down, but I can connect to stuff in my house so they either fixed it fast or ****ed up that somehow.
Will move back from a never out house with water and internet today.

Power cycled off and back on at least twice over night, and I think it's stayed on since 4:30 and woke up to 68F inside after 46 yesterday. Fingers crossed, and hoping others have similar good news.

At this point in our society certain people would just rather steal your crap. Sister in law had buckets of snow (were going to bring and melt for use as needed; water is out) stolen off of their front porch last night. Gonna keep my little holstered friend a little closer today.CampingAg said:

Still got power though I have no clue why we are lucky.
Did a small grocery restock of essentials yesterday - no power in grocery but they were having people queue up at the back stockroom doors and an employee would get milk, butter, eggs, etc. from the freezers they had on backup generators. One register running and cash only.
