Yes, I saw an ad somewhere yesterday, maybe craigslist, that they were closing. It said they had no more puppies but were selling off all the pet supplies - leashes, collars, etc. that they still had.

Both Big Johnson Deli and Kabab and Curry in the old Lack's shopping area were closed today. Looks like more victims of that black hole...

The Facebook page for Big Johnson Deli confirms that they closed around mid-November last year (although they had a food inspection visit on December 26, kinda weird), but I haven't found anything about Kabab & Curry closing, their last Facebook update was December 26...

Kabab and Curry had a sign (just noticed) saying closed for renovations, but still delivering.

Drove past the Little Caesar's on Rock Prairie. Isn't open yet (saw a "Now Hiring" sign in the window) though the last of the Sonic decor is gone. It does, however, appear to have a drive-through window.

Yep. That location hasn't been a Sonic for a while. Taco Casa took over after Sonic moved.

200 yards would put it past Dollar General. I think you mean 200 feet.
Until circa 2005, Sonic stores had yellow and red neon trim, and new stores (or renovated stores) changed this into the chrome look popular today. When Sonic moved out of the old gas station pad ('05-'06), Taco Casa maintained the old yellow and red neon trim. Little Caesar's has finally removed the last of that.
LC also finally took down that parking cover that remained after Sonic left.
Kyoto Sushi is closed. It was a Friday night, the lights were off, and the inside had been cleared of chairs and tables.

Kyoto turns into a sake bar at night. That most likely explains the lack of tables and lights. They clear them to add space for customers. What time were you there?
About 6 pm on a Friday night. Didn't see the menu in the counter in the back, nothing. If the place actually is still open, they do a fantastic job at looking closed.
Sport Clips - Tower Point is open. Young staff. We took out 20 month old and they had "deer in the headlight" looks on their faces. Kind of funny actually.
The girl did a great job though. The boy was less than thrilled to be getting a haircut that day.

Shrimpys is going into the building that is currently serving BBQ. Lease and deposit was scheduled to be completed today.
So, was Sprouts just a rumor or does anyone have information on them coming to town?
It was listed once at the Sprouts "Coming Soon" list, but has since been removed from the list. That being said, it's only for 2013, so there's a chance that we'll get it in 2014.
Oh great. Well, Trader Joe's in the Woodlands I guess.

Kyoto Sushi definitely isn't serving sushi anymore. Doors still locked at 5 pm, no chairs. Since signage was up and I could see lights way in the back, I assume it's still serving sake. Maybe I should come back at 10pm, see if it's reopened.
KBTX ran a story on the 6 pm newscast about Sprouts coming to town. I sure hope they confirmed with Sprouts that they are still coming.
At the end of the story, they mentioned a new restaurant coming to the shopping center that has Kohl's. I believe they said it is Napa Flats? I wonder if this is the italian restaurant that is suppposed to be where Souper Salad was and is being developed by the folks that own Grub?
