Rugged outdoors in the mall was "going out of business" according to the signs in the windows- and the lack of product in the store (I've never seen the walls before!) would also point in that direction. (Saw this 1/3/13.)

- I had seen Rugged Outdoors less than a month ago and it still appeared to be still around, so I assumed the reports months before were false. Guess I was wrong after all.

- About the ice rink changing names, is that because they went to a new operator? I seem to remember that Arctic Wolf was operated by the city and they weren't making any money.

To my knowledge, Arctic Wolf was not operated by the City of College Station. It did however recently change owners.

There have been several articles saying that Carl's Jr was coming to town, but over the months and years nothing has come about. I guess I could move under rumor.

Coming soon: American lube and car wash at Tower Point.

Re Carl's Jr:
Thing to watch for is the construction of a Love's Fuel stop.

Love's Concession contract usually uses Carl's Jr, for their "sit down" end of things.

How about adding The Chocolate Gallery to the 'new' list? They are downtown Bryan, but I'm not sure exactly where.

Considering Love's has a location in Hearne, I don't think it's likely. Just wait--stand-alone restaurant, possibly in a strip center parking lot, co-branded with Green Burrito.

I'm not giving subtle hints, just making predictions based on new restaurants elsewhere (like in Bastrop)

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but noticed yesterday when I drove by Tony Roma's their sign was down and there was a For Sale sign in front.

"Chimmy's" looks to be opening real soon. Building is completed and help wanted signs up. My guess is in the next few weeks.
