Newest Update:

Just recieved a call from CMMG. Apparently my order had some form of issues - as in my rifle was shipped last week to parts unknown. Awesome.

The lady I talked with is currently looking to see if they have another one on the line that they can get shipped out to me today.

Good news for me is that they have admitted fault and are working on it, and I am getting something "extra" in my shipment. Don't know what that is, but my guess is that it's going to be extra mags or something of that sort.

Bad news is that somebody else is probably going to get theirs late now.

Even worse news is that I really don't care if somebody else gets theirs late.

At least they are working on it. When you can get a hold of somebody, they are great people. I'm sure I'll come out of the deal happy after it's all said and done, and hopefully the frustration is coming to an end.

Who the hell told you guys to buy from these yahoos?

Got an email with the tracking number late last night, and it is out on the truck for delivery this morning. Today is a bad day to try to get out to Champion for me though .... I may have to take some time off this afternoon .

still waiting, buts its only been 3 weeks

I got a call from Champion right before I was leaving for lunch that it had just arrived... I couldn't wait, so I went straight over. DPMS lower and CMMG upper and 5.56 marked barrel. I'll grab a couple of pics tonight and post them. Couldn't find any blemishes or marks on it at first glance.

Ordered March 19th, delivered April 23.

The clock is ticking...

Just checked the UPS tracking number, and it arrived in Tempe at 3:30am this morning and was loaded on another truck at 5:30am. Considering that Tempe is the other side of the valley, odds are that it has one more processing station to go through and then will be out for delivery.

I see no reason that should not all happen today. The status is still "On Time", so hopefully I'll be leaving work about an hour early today to get to the gun shop before they close.

Outstanding. All that is required is for me to sneak out of here a tad early and pick it up.

1 month and 5 days. Slow but sure.

Finally got my grubby little hands on it. I can only find one area that would remotely constitute a blemish.

Other than that, I can't find a mark on it. The gun shop guys were extremely impressed with both looks, fit & quality.

Now to get to the range to get it sighted in. Opted for a Bushnell Tropy Red Dot sight. I have one on my MP5 and have been very happy with it, so I figured that keeping things uniorm would be better. We'll see though.

I put the same optics on mine, love it

By the way I had the Bushnell Elite 3200 4X9X30 Firefly on my RRA carbine. Switched it for the Millett 1X4X30, and I am going to put it on my CMMG 20" HBAR. When it comes in...

Just to give you guys some info. (I'm no expert) I carried the Colt M-4 in the Coast Guard, and when I got out I wanted to get one of my own. So I did some research and found that the RRA is the best in my opinion. And if you want to start beefing up your AR after you buy it, be prepared to spend the dough!

Mine arrives Thursday or Friday. Can't wait.

Crap... if I hadn't bought a revolver I probably could have afforded to buy one of these bargain bin rifles for my dad for Christmas.

The eagle has landed. Picked mine up from my FFL dealer today! I am taking it up to the BILs farm this weekend to get it sighted in and look forward to running a few hundred rounds through it!

There is really no argument to that fact that RRA and Bushy lead the pack.<<

I know this was written on in '07, but frankly, there is a big argument to that alleged fact. A police officer who uses and has tested the different brands part by part lists the following food chain:

Colt
Noveske/LMT (similar in both price and performance)
CMMG

followed by several others including the Bush and S&W. RRA, according to him, is on the bottom of the better, but compromise or guarded (his terms), choices. He has as patrol weapons, 2 Bushmasters but would replace them with CMMGs if he needed to.

A buddy of mine built two Del-Ton's. One is a 16" M4gery, the other is a 20" with an HBAR barrel.

We will hopefully put a few rounds downrange with the 20" tomorrow (along with a few pounds of lead through the Sharps). The 16" is every bit as accurate and reliable as my CMMG bargain bin. They are good quality.
