A total eclipse will clip NE Texas in 2045, so I hope you'll still be around then!

I get it more now that I have seen all y'all's great pictures, I was in the Helotes area north of 1604 and it was cloudy the entire time, didn't get to see the real effects like some of you all got to see. Thanks for all the pcs

Back home from Dallas and concur with the, "I didn't get it until I saw it" train of thought. Fortunate work trip for me. Now, I am being blessed with some great thunderstorms and will celebrate my son's 16th birthday tomorrow. God is good.

This is my favorite of pics I took. It's like the sun was a happy dude when he got to come back out

Here's how to donate your solar eclipse glasses to help children see the next one

Quote:

(Gray News) - Now that the 2024 total solar eclipse is over, you may be wondering what to do with your leftover eclipse glasses.

You could keep them as a souvenir or simply throw them away, but a company based in Utah wants children in other parts of the world to enjoy the eclipse experience and you can help.
Eclipse Glasses USA is asking people to donate their undamaged glasses by August 1 so school-aged children in South America can watch the next annular solar eclipse in October.

"Imagine a classroom in a remote village, where students have only read about solar eclipses in their textbooks. Now, thanks to the donation program, they have the opportunity to witness it firsthand, with their own eyes, safely shielded by the glasses provided by generous donors from thousands of miles away," the company wrote on its website.

The address to mail the glasses is:

Eclipse Glasses USA
PO Box 50571
Provo, UT 84605

I can certainly do that.
The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you never know if they are genuine. -- Abraham Lincoln.

Got 2000 I bought to hand out to customers at my DQ Then common sense prevailed and I decided that we do not want the liability. Saw on news last night reporting of eye damage from the hordes in Austin that opted out of the glasses burden.

Wait...
People actually willfully did not get or use glasses??? That has GOT to be an incalculable elevation of weapons grade stupidity!
