For those who love this game, I have some honest questions.
I started playing this on Saturday and wanted to give it a fair attempt before deciding if it was for me. I'm about 13-14hrs in, so far, and have only ran into my first Greymane buddy. Still questing around the initial area.
Are all quests like this? I talk to a guy about whatever. It's about a 2-5 minute conversation, depending on the quest, but he never really tells me where I should look or go. However, after the dialogue, I get the quest marker on my map and just run to it to progress the quest. Literally no thinking involved. No need to decipher where to go or understand what's going on. It feels very MMO like with these quest lines, which I find mindless and dull.
How many hours should I be investing to get the full feel for the game to make my decision? I already feel like I need to force myself to keep pushing through, but I keep getting the urge to simply play a different game.
Honestly, the thing that got me to pick it up the most was seeing a clip of someone riding a dragon. I absolutely love the fantasy of being a powerful dragonrider, so wanted to give it a shot. I assumed this would be more of a mid to late game thing, and was fine with that. I had also heard there was so much to do in this game and was interested to see if I would just lose myself in it, but that isn't happening yet.
