Welp, I went ahead and bought it. Definitely my style of game. I can see myself putting hundreds of hours into this one. I've played about 6 so far. The graphics are beautiful.

Just started chapter 7 and I'm finally starting to get enough gears and equipment to start customizing. Only have red and green dye that I've found dyers for so far so my guy looks like a Christmas decoration.
Being able to recover resources from upgraded gear is such a quality of life improvement.
I just got the chest for my house that lets me access my crafting materials anywhere and that is going to solve so many logistical issues.
Next I need to figure out the gear combining with the witches.

I've been kicking around the idea of starting a new run through. but may wait until the DLC comes out. Supposedly we are going to get updated storyline and new sections of map opened up. At this point I've got well over 500 hours in.

I played it non stop after work and on weekends for a while. It is easily the most I've played a game since college during semester breaks. Absolutely love the game. In many ways it sucks not being able to have kids, but it does create a TON of time for just farting around if I get enthralled in something.
