I can't remember where exactly but it's in the southeast part of the map. It's literally a refrigerator among a ruined house that activates it.

Had some fun tonight in Abernathy Farms. I wanted to see if I could build a structure around the electrical tower. Aside from a few places where I couldn't place walls since I kept getting close to the edge of the building area or getting too close to the tower, I think it went well.

Wow! I'm having to make supply runs all day just to add to my 5 story island funhouse and you just built Trump tower...where did you get all the resources for that??

It's probly on pc so you can make your materials limitless. But I will say I have over 3000 wood gathered and im playing on ps4 so it is possible.

I'm on xbone and at 1 point had over 9,000 wood (mostly from scrapping every tree in my settlements) but I am struggling to keep enough steel to finish my island fortress. Gotta keep grinding I guess

You can also buy supplies from vendors. Every vendor type usually has something that says "Shipment of 100 X". What they carry can be someone random. Steel and Wood are cheap, oil and copper not so much. There's only 2 that do shipments of concrete, but all of the vendors usually have a bag of cement and a few concrete that you can purchase.

I always forget about buying that stuff from vendors, good reminder!

So someone on Reddit posted a video of them shooting mannequins in what looks like a theater, he hits one and it starts shooting back ... It was a synth hiding as a mannequin.

I think I may have found a legendary that's a tad too good. It's a 2mm Gauss Rifle with a bonus of "Double damage to enemies at full health." Turned it into a sniper rifle with a baseline of 403 damage. Combine that with various perks and it's pretty much a one shot on anything if I get it fully charged.

I had to choose between BoS and another faction today. Wasn't going to choose BoS, so I decided to preemptively turn them hostile by seeing how much of their ship I could clear out. Turns out, it's all of it. Not sure how this will affect the story, but it was fun! I may have mentally scarred the poor little squires, but they're tough enough to make it through.

***EDIT*** DO NOT CLEAR OUT BoS **** - This caused a bug where I'm not able to progress through the main story line if I want to continue going with Railroad. Google "Underground Undercover bug". There's a few solutions out there that will hopefully work. Otherwise I have to revert about 8 hours to the last save I had before the massacre.

That is awesome. The depth of this game continues to come out the more I play it. Things like this seem so inconsequential on the drawing board I bet but in game it's awesome.

Also heightens my paranoia to all time highs. SYNTHS ARE EVERYWHERE!

I finished the Silver Shroud quest in Goodneighbor. So much fun. You get to dress up as an old radio/TV vigilante hero and mete out justice to hardcore criminals in town, then leave your calling card on their bodies.

The best part is talking to people using the "as the Shroud" option, where your guy/girl talks in a superhero voice.

I've got over 9,000 wood myself after seeing some of these settlements

Unless your quest is bugged and you can't finish it. Then you have the armor stuck innyout inventory forever. Mocking you.

Can someone give a quick step by step to displaying additional power armor sets? I understand you have to have additional frames, but that seems awfully expensive. I found someone selling one for 3760 caps. How does that work for people who have like 20 sets on display?

I've got a few full sets of armor in a box. Built a second power armor station in my settlement, right next to the first one. Now what? Do I have to buy this extra frame?

Just keep wandering around. There are plenty of frames just laying around.

I don't even like to wear the armor and I have 7 complete sets at level 38. I have never bought any part of a power armor suit.

I don't wear them either. I may not have been clear though - I think my question focused on acquiring frames, but let's say I already have a frame or two. Then what?
Troy91

Most of what I find is either a complete set of armor or a raw frame laying around in the wild.

I don't have a display like you see here. In fact, it is really crowded in that little carport in Sanctuary Hills.

I just put on a found suit and fast travel back to Sanctuary. You just walk to where ever you want to keep the armor and get out. Remove the fusion core and you have a set of displayed armor.

My carport looks like I am a salvage yard for power armor.

I'm level 17 and mostly doing Minutemen quests.

2 questions- at what level should I build a mansion? I assume I'll need certain perks.

also, is there an easy way to go to a settlement and collect all crops or water? How are most of you collecting or earning your bottlecaps? I did upgrade my Local Leader perk so I can open a shop bit am not sure where to do so.
Troy91

I mostly did Minutemen quests as well and am now at level 38.

I have no patience for building a mansion. It is not why I play Fallout.

I did set up trade networks to all communities that I can. There is a good living to be made by selling the output of a few locations. However, I have never struggled for caps. Always pick up junk that weighs nothing, i.e., pre-war money, drugs, etc. I sell them when I get to town. Profit.

The beauty of this edition is that you can create an economic simulator, a housing simulator, or whatever your mind can conceive. Also, you can just wander around having fun. None of those choices directly impacts your ability to ignore tasks that you don't enjoy.

Were you able to save Ken or whatever his name is?

I was not and then got too far beyond the save point to care about going back.

I did but I made sure I was a high enough level to save him. You basically have one shot, pun intended, to save him so make it count.

On another note, I went to the place not to be spoken of, by going through the thing you build, and had the conversation with the guy who I won't name.

A little underwhelmed with the big reveal. Anyone else? Keeping it as spoiler free as possible of course.

I kinda saw it coming for awhile but I still think it's kinda interesting.

Didn't end up making a difference for me though. Still decided I'd destroy X with Y because X was kinda creepy. Also the person who's name shall not be spoken was kinda an ass anyways.

My charisma is maxed, so i started the conversation with sinjin and was able to convince him to try to kill me first and make kent watch.

Tip on power armors... They are usually stored in those large shipping containers and scattered everywhere. I probably have 15 full sets and then enough parts to make another 4 or 5 if I had the frames.

You do know you can build them, right? In the construction menu go to Crafting and the Power Armor Station is third to last.

I've got the station (see the second paragraph that you quoted). I need the frames.

You will find plenty of frames randomly in the commonwealth. I've got a few from raider power armor and a few from sets you find abandoned. Don't buy the frames.

If you really need some frames, just google the locations of some power armor sets. There are plenty laying around.
