As far as hunting down settlers, can't you craft and ring a bell to gather your settlers for assignments?

Also, just found this reddit thread that had the below:

  • To assign settlers select them in the crafting screen then select the object you want them to work

After you hunt them down... ya this works. The problem is having to go looking for them wandering around the area so the bell would solve that.

Doh, I misread the bullet. Was thinking there was a section I was missing that allowed me to view a list of settlers.

Found some sort of beefed up Fat Man in a legendary mutt that I killed. Very random.

How do you have 93 mini nukes... I'm level 18 and have gotten to the quest after getting to Diamond City and still only have 3.

I find it odd that the nuke has an accuracy rating. It should just say "Who cares? It's a nuke"

What system? I tried for a good 20 minutes with dog the other day and just could not get it to work on PS4 ...

That's the one, where you grab it from them.

THIS!! This is what I meant. I know you can ring a bell. Tried it a while back. In a place like sanctuary it took 2 and half minutes for everyone to get there.

The main reason I want a list is so you can see who does not have a job or what object does not have anyone assigned to it. Plus if someone DOES have a job it doesn't say. I can't tell you how many times I have found someone wandering and tried to assign them something only to find out later I pulled them off something they were already assigned to.

It just seems like a more advantageous way could be figured out on how to manage your settlements. Even if you have to set up a computer and use that.

"about a .5 second window".... ya that ain't happening for me. I suck with "precise timing" in this game.

You would not believe how many times I have missed in VATS with a fatboy. especially if the target is elevated like on a walkway or bridge. Sails right by and detonates in the distance. Now I just manually aim at the ground in front of them and never long distance.

So I found a Vault that actually seems to be operating like a nice place to live. They have a store there where I could by a pretty sweet sniper rifle.

  • "The Overseer"
  • .45 Ammo
  • Perk "Shoots and extra projectile"

Well I have Gun Nut 3, so I upgraded the crap out of it. Now it has:

  • night vision scope
  • 170 damage
  • 40 bullet magazine.

Well doing some math:

170[base damage] x 2 [extra projectile] x 2 [sneak attack] x 1.8 [LVL 4 Rifleman perk] = 1224 Damage

I now one shot all raiders, if they are in a power suit they take 2 bullets. Deathclaws die before they can close the distance to me. I need to raise the difficulty or just not use this gun.....

First time I used that gun was vs that Sarge bot in old guns. He absolutely wrecked me when I tried killing him with my combats rifle. Remember I picked up the fat boy so I left and retrieved it from my work bench. When I came back I ran into the room nukes loaded and let it rip. Complete underestimated the power as my limbs came flying off from the explosion. Thank god for aurosave!

Only time I used the Fat Man was probably a waste, I had spent a fair bit of time trying to clear Corvega at like level 5. Wasn't overly difficult but I was taking it very slow and deliberate, hiding from enemies and letting it go back to hidden status in between encounters. I had somehow gotten into the second floor then onto the roof without an encounter inside so when I cam back in from the roof to clear the interior I wasn't expecting about 5 raiders plus a machine gun turret in the front room.... after 3 reloads and not being able to get an angle on the turret before it waxed me, I just pulled out the Fat Man ... let the turret spot me so that the 3 raiders in the next room would swarm out the door then just lit it up. I managed to get one of the raiders in the front room leaving only 1 other who I handled easily.

Now I am regretting not taking more time and saving my one nuke.

I still haven't used a Nuke yet... but there are a few places where I'm thinking of doing it:

1 - Clearing out the Castle. Sounds like that encounter is pretty tough? Sitting at level 18 right now and wondering when I should try that one.

2 - A Satellite field all the way on the eastern edge of the map for a Brotherhood of Steel mission. There are a few super mutants there with a skull (one a suicide type), plus a legendary mutant hound. These guys have just ripped me apart. What level are they for the skulls to finally go away? Didn't think that this was that far into the BoS mission series...

Yep, I took one look at the when I was level 11 or so and decided to finish a different quest.

Wow.. think I'm sitting at only 8 full fusion cores and 2 that are nearly depleted. Is there anyway to recharge those things?

Well, the skulls for some of those guys don't go away at level 18, so it'll be awhile. I'll try again at level 20.

No way to recharge cores. I have read though that selling a partially charged core gets enough caps to buy a new one. I don't know though since I haven't made it to town and dealt with any vendors yet.

22 remaining core was sold for 73 caps in diamond city not sure what s new cost

I cleared that Satellite field at level 17 with the mutant slayer 10mm that I found. Without that weapon, that would have been a painful mission.

Nope for recharging. I started with this guide and there are a few others that are similar on the net:

Fallout 4 Fusion Core Locations: Where To Find 20 Extra Power Armor Batteries Early

Also used a similar guide for finding a bunch of abandoned power armor suits.

After I hit level 33/35 i am going after this:

Where to find X-01 Power Armor | Fallout 4

400-500 caps to buy a new one and they sell for ~75 caps regardless of how much charge is left so ~10% left sells for same as 100% left.

I buy every core i see if a vendor has one and I have the caps for it. I also sell everything i find to get caps.

So, when do settlements start getting attacked? Curious if the time and effort into settlement building it worth it for attacks that may never happen.

What's the point of staggering? It's a freaking Fatman!
Useless perk. Scrap it for parts.

My perk shoots 2 nukes for the price of one. Since I'm a heavy weapon build, it takes one shot for me to kill deathclaws, behemoths, and other big bosses. So far it's been 1 shot 1 kill, even on survival mode.

I've got a question on power armor.

Being a ninja/sniper logic is that being in power armor would make you more detectable. Is that true?

I really haven't been using power armor since my goal is to stay hidden and hit from as far away as possible.

I don't think you are more detectable. Also there is an upgrade mod for armor that makes you even more undetectable IIRC.
