I don't. Only policy matters. See Jimmy Carter. Super nice guy but policy wise a ****ing disaster.

January 6 was a government op. Some people took the bait. The government entrapped everyone. It was fake.

The "felonies" were contrived. But you know that. It's sick that you don't care. What was done to him is antithetical to the founding of this nation. That matters to me.

How about like a decent person? Someone who wasn't convicted of felonies, didn't cheat on 3 different wives, didnt pay a porn star for sex, didn't brag about assaulting women, didn't get found civilly liable for sexual assault of a woman, and didn't personally enrich himself using public office that even Nancy Pelosi would blush at? Would that be a start?

So, you are recommending a tactical nuke on DC and start over?

Because the person you are describing doesn't exist in DC.

You realize that's asinine though right? If I were a candidate and simply said all the right things to TeslaAg and his MAGA cohort for electability purposes, and then enact none of the policies I campaigned on…that's bad. And it's why the messenger is just as important as the message (or policy).

So, who are you going to vote for?

Like, which specific person?

And what about the "drain the swamp" policy? What would you say to those voters who supported him because they truly believed that, as a billionaire, he would be "incorruptible" to the underbelly of DC politicking? That he would operate outside the system of "quid pro quo" and enact government as it was intended; for the people and by the people? What do you say to them? Now that he's turbo boosted through every conceivable corrupt avenue available to him? Does that not matter?

Is destroying USAID absolutely nothing?

How about helping roll back Chevron Deference?

Withholding federal funds from MN?

Firing Comey, trying to indict Comey?

Foreign Corrupt Practices Act work?

Forced data sharing between government entities to root out fraud?

Directing the Treasury department to screen individual transactions for fraud?

Consolidating the GSA?

Do you really think that Trump is "more corrupt" than the Biden crime family or the Clinton crime family?

Burisma alone blows EVERYTHING that has been thrown at Trump out of the water.

You are clearly not a student of history, sir.

Would you like to me the best case you can that Trump is the most corrupt administration ever, even beating out, say, Grant and Harding, and see how you hang?

Youre right. Republicans should just have to take all the corruption the democrats crushed them with.

Glad to see them fighting back. Would really like to see a lot of government officials jailed for sedition.

Fighting swamp with swamp just doubles the size of swamp. You can't claim a moral high ground of fighting back while making the problem worse

Nope. Democrat force must be met with like force. If the corrupt actors don't have their noses dragged through the ****, they'll never stop.

So CRUSHED and FINISHED they let the be GOP retake every single corner of government. So completely COOKED.

Summary of thread: be openly corrupt, steal from the American tax payer, it's fine. Why? Because I think some other politician probably maybe definitely stole 1.8bil directly, and explicitly, for themself and their political retaliation tour. Totally cool.

How much have we given to Trump's little personal political war chest between this and his ICE army?

Don't answer, it doesn't matter, apparently.

What part of that $1.8 billion was spent unethically? Is the congressional oversight on the spending corrupt, too?

Do you have a link?

I think that $1.8 billion to fight the damage done by the weaponization of the DOJ by Biden is likely not enough.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship."

No I'm not a Republican but if I were she at least seems like a competent, decent person who has a track record that backs up her policies. Trump on the other hand pretending to be an avatar for traditional family values, fiscal responsibility, peace maker, etc was always laughable. I understand the people who held their nose to vote for him against Kamala, but I'll never understand anyone that voted for him in the Primary. Even the charisma vampire Desantis would have been a better Presidential candidate than this grifter.

I've never voted for Trump in any of the 3 primaries. Loathed him. Still do sometimes.

But rather than taking this as a moment of reflection to see how truly vile the Democrat party has become where someone like Trump is a better alternate to ANY Democrat because of your policies you won't. You'll keep blaming people for not wanting to embrace your bull**** and forcing them in the Trump camp.

Your side is more responsible for Trump than we are.

They used it in the last administration.

Shipped immigrants to red areas and gave them millions in free food, housing and healthcare then counted them in the census and now fight against voterID.

Dems probably spent a trillion or more on this.

$1.776 billion to restore a few patriots who had their lives ruined for standing up against the Biden weaponized DOJ is peanuts.

Oh, I meant the next Dem administration using this to get money to those immigrants, and protestors, who felt they were (fill in the blank) during the ICE raids, or whatever they want to use along the same premise.

Like I said, it's a precedent (giving money directly to people) that'll be used by every administration, including the left, going forward.

Thankfully it's not much money in the grand scheme of our budget.
