Exactly.
Making smart-ass replies gets us no where. What a waste of time. I want to hear WHAT SHE'S DONE.
Who cares about how many zingers she comes up with.

For democrats, they don't want to hear what she's done.

Have you not watched any of these for the 8-9 years?

Democrats make statements, refuse to let the person answer and then scream about "reclaiming my time."

Every single democrat does it repeatedly. They don't want answers. They want to make accusations.

The key difference I've seen is the shift from staying quiet to now making sure their statements get heard.

Yep, there was some black congresslady questioning someone I think from CBP yesterday and basically asked the guy if he thought he was going to Heaven or hell. I mean WTF kind of question is that. Then she acted all offended and "I reclaim my time" crap when he started to answer.

LOL

My answer, if that were me: "Going? I'm in Hell right now, Satan."

Oh, that is GOOOOOD!

I think there's a fundamental misunderstanding on this board about how glacially slow the justice process works for everyone all the time by its nature. Nothing happens quickly because it is designed not to. It's procedural, bureaucratic, requires all the steps be done. There is little opportunity to expedite, and it is an amalgam of government at different levels and both the executive and judicial branches involved in the process. If you rush things, you make mistakes or go in unprepared and you lose winnable prosecutions. It is of course incredibly annoying and frustrating but that's the reality. Throwing a tantrum on the Internet every other day does nothing to change that.

The problem with Bondi is that she works for Trump, instead of working for the American people. She will go down as the worst, most corrupt AG in modern history.

She might be the weakest member of the current Trump cabinet, but the current Trump cabinet is pretty spectacular by historical standards.

Do you want to comment on James Comey or Leticia James? How about her handling of Lindsay Halligan that has ****ed plenty of things up?

What about her comment that there is "free speech and there is hate speech"? I remember that rhetoric was pretty popular with the libs a few years back.

It seems many are content to judge by the dog and pony show rather than look at everything that is going on.

Trump appointed Halligan. That ain't her fault.

Most people would prefer that Bondi actually get some things done and answer basic questions instead of trying to deflect and own the libs. But we all have different priorities I guess.

RonnieD is not taking the AG job even if offered. And he is not being offered it. Whilst he may be effective, he would have nothing but downside politically from taking that role. Dead end job in politics.

Bondi was doing better staying under the radar. But I assume this was one of the mandatory oversight hearings they have to do. She should have just stuck to numbers and not rhetoric in my opinion.

Agree. That's why I said it was a pipe dream. Trump wouldn't offer and DeSantis at this point is probably trying to stay clear of the fray and see how things play out after the mid-terms. I know most aren't giving him much of a chance, but I still think he would make an outstanding president.

Just appoint Jim Jordan after he loses his Chairmanship. He'd be a million times better than Bondi and a hundred times better than Desantis. He prolly should have Trump's first AG to begin with.

You also just completely ignore that her department drags their nuts across the faces of tyrannical district court judges that love to ignore the law while they keep illegal aliens in the US on an almost weekly basis.

Without the DOJ doing so well, Homan wouldn't be able to do his job, because the courts would impose impossible restrictions on keeping illegal aliens out of the US.

Without the DOJ doing so well, 35,000 federal employees would still have their jobs sucking on the taxpayer tit for almost zero value.

She might be the weakest member of the current Trump cabinet, but the current Trump cabinet is pretty spectacular by historical standards, and people just gloss over the good stuff that she IS doing as if it is unimportant. It is not.

That's the work of the solicitor general and team, not Bondi.

Including the litigation against Comey, James, etc.?

Who does the solicitor general report to?

Pretty sure that Sauer was picked by Trump, but, if he was so much better than Bondi, why isn't he AG?

If you compare Trump's previous AG Bill Barr and current AG Pam Bondi, there are some similarities.

Barr was DC corrupt, loyal, dishonest, and he covered up the Epstein scandal. Barr became wealthy as a result of his time serving the Deep State.

Bondi is DC corrupt, loyal, dishonest, and she has covered up the Epstein scandal. Bondi has become wealthy because of her time serving the Deep State.

There the similarities end.

Barr is a very sharp attorney, and he was extremely savvy at beltway politics. The kind of AG you want on your side and do not ever want to see working for the other side. He successfully manuevered through and around many legal landmines and criminality potholes.

In comparison to Barr, Bondi isn't very competent, savvy, nor very intelligent. She's a stumbler and bumbler, as her repeated lying and mishandling of the Epstein files has shown. Her rise to power in Florida was achieved via similar means to that of Kamala Harris in CA. Right now, the Vegas odds of Bondi ending up in a similar situation as John Mitchell are probably 50-50. Trump should remove Bondi from the AG job, reassign her to some WH / Exec Branch position she can actually handle, and promote Todd Blanch to AG.

Part of the issue is that being in politics was never intended as a "job" and most certainly not a "career".

The concept was for residents of a community / state / district / etc were meant to be elected to represent the interests to those who elected whilst still remaining part of and accountable to the places that elected them.

Alas, we have utterly failed in that regard at this point.

But... you can have a job and still serve on school board, city council, and the like. Why not give it a shot?

I'm no Bondi fan because she is a blowhard that talks a lot more than does but Merrick Garland and Eric Holder openly abused their office to pursue political prosecutions and to provide cover for Biden and Obama. Holder even called himself Obama's "Wingman" while AG.

What if the DOJ wins the appeal about those cases being dismissed? This issue isn't settled.

This is interesting and news to me. Can you recall which judge, or, alternatively, do you have a link?

The point of contention here about Halligan's appointment is pretty arcane. If the senate refuses to vote either way on her appointment, they automatically get to have the courts make the appointment? Is that the way that this law was supposed to work? Doesn't it pretty much usurp the executive's power?

This narrative is crusty old propaganda by now and none of the millions of pages of evidence made available so far indicates anyone outside of Epstein and Ghislane were involved in teen trafficking and abuse. That was Epstein's thing. He got caught eventually.

Epstein trafficked connections, access to influence and wealth, and inside information. That's where he was doing conspiratorial things with a few others. That's all the evidence support. Everything else is spiteful wishcasting hoping that someone's political opposition can get smeared by association throwing the pedo term at anyone and everyone.

Need evidence that is considered reliable for any kind of prosecution. Of course others were involved because Ghislane worked with someone to identify and recruit target teens to funnel to Epstein. I'm sure there were a couple of close Epstein associates that took liberties with "she told me she was 18" girls at his parties or whatever, but the only one making a few names passed on a while back and her testimony was considered not reliable and could not be corroborated.

There are plenty of current adult victims of Epstein. Many of them talk to the press periodically and issue statements. But they NEVER name names. They never come out with any specific accusations against any individual other than the two who have already been convicted. They claim they have a non disclosure agreements but that is extremely dubious because those do not and cannot cover crimes. Outside of that, you have salacious and unverifiable or uncorroborated third or fourth hand stories, and some unreliable testimony from one victim throwing out a bunch of names. Where is the evidence? I know some is steal sealed by courts, but if that exists, it has been seen by multiple LEO and prosecutors and there would be further charges years ago.
