You also just completely ignore that her department drags their nuts across the faces of tyrannical district court judges that love to ignore the law while they keep illegal aliens in the US on an almost weekly basis.

Without the DOJ doing so well, Homan wouldn't be able to do his job, because the courts would impose impossible restrictions on keeping illegal aliens out of the US.

Without the DOJ doing so well, 35,000 federal employees would still have their jobs sucking on the taxpayer tit for almost zero value.

She might be the weakest member of the current Trump cabinet, but the current Trump cabinet is pretty spectacular by historical standards, and people just gloss over the good stuff that she IS doing as if it is unimportant. It is not.

You can always run for office and go fix stuff.

Who doe the Solictor General report to? Understand SG has significant discretion but there is still a relationship between AG and SG. To say there is no strategy involved between the two would be disengenuous.

To be fair, many of Epstein's more serious crimes involving actual other conspirators are financial crimes most likely. Insider trading, fraud, embezzlement, and stuff like that. He used women (mostly adult escort or models types) and parties and social events as lures and social lubricants to get access to investors to scam or exploit. His side hustle for the teens seemed to be pretty much him and Ghislane for the most part though apparently others encountered it on the periphery. I think there are people he roped in or associated with that by mere association give a security or political angle to it but I still don't see evidence that he himself was run by an intelligence service. That's still just salacious conjecture at this point, but everyone loves to enhance conspiracies.

It's a pipe dream, but if Trump were smart he would dump Bondi at mid-term and get Ron DeSantis to be his AG. That guy would kick a** and take names.

RonnieD is not taking the AG job even if offered. And he is not being offered it. Whilst he may be effective, he would have nothing but downside politically from taking that role. Dead end job in politics.

Bondi was doing better staying under the radar. But I assume this was one of the mandatory oversight hearings they have to do. She should have just stuck to numbers and not rhetoric in my opinion.
