I voted for Trump, but let's not act like he's a pillar of morality or some non-corruptible saint. Some of this stuff he's into stinks to high heaven. He's playing the game like everyone has done before him, using his position to enrich himself & his family for generations to come. I expected more from him.
except he's doing so at an unprecedented scale. he's in a league of his own.

for example: nancy pelosi used to be the poster child for abusing her office for self enrichment. she's worth $400 million after 40 years in office. trump's wealth increased ten times that much in 2025 alone.

People still don't fully realize how closely intertwined and mutually supportive all these corrupt people are.

Alex Acosta, for example. He's on the board of Newsmax, the media outlet that exalts Trump more than any other news outlet. Owned by Trump's friend and backer.. And Acosta is on a board with Kevin Roberts, the CEO of the Heritage Foundation. Would you be on a board with the scumbag who protected Epstein and betrayed all those young girls? Imo, Acosta should be shunned by every decent person who isn't a priest. But instead, he has been rewarded.

Steve Bannon, Trump's longtime friend, associate, booster, confidant, and advisor. Why was Steve Bannon working closely with Epstein in the 2014-2016 timeframe? Why was he trying to whitewash Epstein's reputation and public image?

Trump's alleged 2006 phone call to a police chief in Florida, if it actually happened, is evidence Trump knew of Epstein's predations and never said anything until he & Epstein had a falling out and word leaked out that Epstein was under criminal investigation. Whatever Trump's reasons are, he has obstructed release of the files.

I hope Massie and Ro keep pushing.

It's funny that to tie Trump to corruption, you have to play seven layers of Kevin Bacon.

But, for people like, I dunno, Biden and Pelosi, you don't even have to go outside of their immediate family.

Your attempts to tie Epstein to Trump are a bigger conspiracy theory than him committing suicide.

NO ONE has had the guts to go public with this stuff. That is the major issue. There is something very, very scary in there, and I doubt it relates to just one person.

The Oracle of Bacon

And...just so you know...

The Bacon number between Kevin Bacon and Donald Trump is...2

However, the Bacon number between Kevin Bacon and Charlie Chaplin is...

ALSO 2

Bondi has disappeared from public conversations. I wonder what the hell she's doing.
Her job is also to share what she's achieved, not have the people assume or guess.

A disappointment.

F Dems, but I expect R's to kick more butt.

Great that she goes to Congress and treats them like they treat Republicans. Fight with them and offer zero of substance. Its nice to see the shoes change feet for once in that regard!

Howeva....

She has been a lame AG.

Gipper. Does not matter if she can fight with Dems.

She's not doing her job well. No one's gone to jail in a year.

Like I've said repeatedly, it takes someone like Virginia Giuffre, with an actual ounce of courage, to get stuff like that done.

On a scale of 0-10, how familiar would you say you are with the Trump family crypto dealings?

I've only watched a few clips here and there of the Bondi testimony and wow, it seems like a disaster for her. She must be hating her career choice right now.

Massie and Ro should be treated as heroes for seeing this thing through to this point.

About as familiar as I am with Hunter's paintings, Hunter's Ukrainian board seats, and Biden's involvement with Chinese hedge funds.

At least everything that Trump does with the crypto stuff is out in the open.

That isn't true. But even if it was, it doesn't make extortion and accepting bribes and selling out our country okay.

You're saying "The Bidens were crooked and committed crimes, so it is okay for Trump to be crooked and commit crimes."

This kind of tribalism and amoralism is killing our country.

1) What extortion? This is interesting.

2) I really agree. We need to burn it all down. I don't think that it is possible to be a white night in DC in the current environment. Certainly, none of them really exist. Rand Paul and others can get a little closer, but I don't think for a second that they are squeaky clean.

3) When you have to eat a weevil, always choose the lesser of two weevils. We are not going to get a perfect POTUS. Nothing close. It would be nice, but it just isn't going to happen. Comparing the best of available options in that environment is not unreasonable.

Would you favor:

1) Underedaction of potential victims.?
2) Overredaction of people that have not been proven to have committed a crime.?
3) Waiting for 10 years to get that perfect?
4) Just being unreasonable, no matter what?

The DoJ has handled this terribly from the get go. Blanche trying to call someone on on X and looking like a fool is just another example.

Supposedly there are about 6 million pages...

The DOJ was given 30 days to release them (with redactions). So, that's reviewing, doing determinations on redacting, and then the redactions of 200,000 files a day.

And people are surprised that they didn't get done on time.

They were a month late and put out 3 million pages...so 50,000 a day.

And then people are surprised at them not doing a perfect job of redacting?

The thing that will amuse me later is no matter what happens, even if they release every single last shred of EVERYTHING they have...there will be a large cadre of people, many of them on this board, who will claim that they didn't release everything and that they're hiding the REAL scandalous stuff...

I am not surprised at all mistakes happen.

But its not entirely accurate l to say they were given 30 days. They claimed a YEAR ago they were working on releasing documents.

They also have been dishonest in some redactions. See the bogus "privileged" claim I posted earlier.

I sgree, people are so emotionally invested in the larger conspiracy narrative now that nothing would placate them. Given access to every bit of it, they'd take any lack of evidence of a conspiracy merely as confirmation that it must be ongoing and there must be more still hidden. It's a mentality one can fall into, not unlike some people with Russia and Trump, which millions of Dems are still convinced was a real thing.

It's rational to be skeptical of intentionally and possibly nefariously delayed transparency when the governing body has acted in ways that lose the public trust. Trust is easy to lose and hard to be regained.

So what? It had been beyond obvious that the only lynchpin keeping all of the information in the dark has been the myriad of powerful people holding guns to each other's heads. Every organization and individual from the Palm Beach police, business leaders, politicians, power brokers, the FBI, the DOJ, Congress, the courts...all of them have slow-played a multi-faceted Cuban Missile Crisis-like escalation of behind the scenes brinksmanship. This quid pro quo, mutual assured destruction, or whatever you want to call it, has been the SOP for the entire past decade or more, and I scoff, no - guffaw - that people seem so slow to recognize and admit this blindingly obvious truth.

It is why, once again, I pay the ultimate respect for Virginia Giuffre, who cut through all of the BS, endured all of the victim blaming, threats, and mistreatment, and brought the deeds of evil people to light.

And one more thing...bump. It is time for those with TDS (Trump Deflection Syndrome) to begin to see that the tides are not, in fact, controlled by their insular, axiomatic pinings.

Bondi was bonkers in the hearing.

Her shrieking about the Dow and apologizing to Trump was ridiculous.

Tear down the entire child abuse racket. I don't care who is thrown on the bonfire of perpetrators. If you protected pedophiles, you need to pay. They all need to burn.

And shrieking about the Dow just further emphasized that horrific people with "eff you money" are able to do horrific things for a truly long time. No more.

Every single person, of every political persuasion, should be in lockstep about this. Investigate, charge, convict all perpetrators.
