In response the X, what rights were violated? We just went thru this whole exercise with Charlie Kirk where first amendment rights apply to the govt not being able to silence you. Businesses and persons not associated with govt can do what they want.

Ah. That makes more sense.

At first I thought it was just a run of the mill MAGA hat and was 100% on the side of the pax. But it's a hat with profanity on it and now it's some spirit airlines level trash. There's kids on the flight and a hat with obscenities (even minor like ass) is a no go. Obey crew instruction and remove it or get off the plane and book with Spirit.

The reality is the flight attendants have lots of power when it comes to "safety" and "compliance". The pilot is king but he has to cover his butt too. It's also easy to justify all kinds of stupidity in the name of "safety". To me it appears the pilot just wanted this to go away and was covering his ass.

We just had a whole thread on the Football board recently of folks that said using vulgar language in the stands at Kyle field is ok because we need to change our culture and let our opponents and opponents fans know we are bad and not nice anymore. It's even supposedly going to help us win games.
So I guess we can't have "ass" on a cap but it's ok to use much worse words in front of our kids at Kyle cause "my kids hear the same at school"…has been the justification by some.
We are a society eat up with hypocrisy.

I know you just have to argue with me because of how much you hate my guts for not worshiping Trump, but if the shirt had said something like "I Support Trans Kids" then no, the person would not be kicked off the flight, nor should he have been.

If the shirt had said "**** Transphobia" then he would have been booted because the shirt had a profanity.
