What is wrong with so many people that this isn't intellectually insulting?

Earlier they were trying to concentrate on some lie that apparently Trump has repeated a couple of times, this time in front of of Zelensky. Something about aid money.
I read that and laughed. Ain't nobody, including Zelensky and everyone else there, cares about that **** right now.

I have also seen a talking point emerge across various leftist outlets (cnn, the atlantic and others) that the main reason trump is offering up defense guarantees is because the pressure put on by the euros who were in attendance.
Lol

Trump: Russia is a military power. On Ukraine, he says Europe is ready to deploy troops and suggests a security framework outside of NATO.

The best part is he didn’t invite Canada 😜 https://t.co/QFxJtipnwI

Speaking earlier with Fox News, President Donald J. Trump said that U.S. boots will not be on the ground in Ukraine, with Ukrainian security guarantees to be potentially provided “by air” via the United States. pic.twitter.com/hoKjCkuoLm

In a non-combat role we've been providing air security throughout the conflict, via P-8, E7, E-3, global hawk and other surveillance (also space-based). This has afforded both targeting information (offensive) and significant defensive coordination/protection (for Ukrainian Air Force/Army assets as well as their populace/military infrastructure).
This is actually the most significant real military assistance they've been given (for free), and has kept Kiev in the fight throughout the conflict much more than 155mm shells/cash etc. These are also not cheap platforms to develop, equip, staff, maintain, deploy and operate, but the costs are often not reflected in comparisons of aid spend/donations.

Ukraine giving up Donetsk and Luhansk, freezing the lines in Zaphorizia and Kherson, and Russia giving up the marginal gains elsewhere isn't a bad deal for Ukraine as long as there are real security guarantees/peacekeepers that keep Russia from taking another bite in a year or five.
It's also a lot less than Russia thought they would get when they invaded 3.5 years ago.

Mexico isn't part of NATO...Canada is.

Okay but there are what…32 NATO countries? Most of them weren't invited…several of them who have much more interest in that region than Canada…

That region? Have you looked at a globe recently? Canada is pretty damn close to Russia and one of the 12 founding members of NATO. I'd say they have a vested interest but got snubbed.
This is a silly argument so we can move on.
