Zelenskyy has better approval ratings than Trump. I expect them to only go up after today.

Zelenskyy needed security guarantees. Johnson already said there would be no new aid. This deal only offered vague details on how the US could recover its original investment. What about that makes Ukraine more secure? Russia has already violated two agreements, what on earth would make you think Putin would keep this deal backed by undeveloped mineral rights?

And neither are you Jbob. Despite what Trump says, for three years Ukraine has held off the Russians, yes somewhat with US aid, but not solely. They've used limited resources well while Russia has thrown enormous resources at Ukraine and barely holds a quarter of the country.
And JD Vance needs to stay in his lane regarding press gangs in Ukraine rounding up soldiers. How many drafts have the Russians had in three years? They had to borrow conscripts from North Korea too.

A hero? What makes you think he's a hero?
Gosh, I remember when Trump was president the first time, the leftist media said what a horrible person Zelenskkt was that he was a fascist and a dictator, and Trump was a horrible person to try to deal with him. And then somehow he became a hero during the Democrats corrupt administration.
What a joke.
We are well aware that the the pro-russia side thinks a real hero would lay down and surrender.
How much money should we give Zelenskyy? A man not qualified to run a kill aid stand..
Trump and JD "eyeliner" Vance want to take all of Ukraine's minerals WITHOUT giving a security guarantee. When did the Republican Party become led by communists? This is embarrassing. Absolute lowest life forms are leading that party and our country.strbrst777 said:

OF COURSE, a peace deal is the best thing BUT WHAT SECURITY GUARANTEES IS THE UNITED STATES WILLING TO COMMIT? Because Russia has shown REPEATEDLY that they do not honor 'ceasefires.' Why would Zelensky capitulate to a peace deal he knows Russia won't honor, without the US and NATO allies pledging continued support should that breach happen?DTP02 said:Hullabaloonatic said:But it is making a difference...Putin hasn't captured Kiev. Forcing a peace deal to happen is the best thing for the Ukrainians whose lives would be lost (and, yes, also for the Russians whose lives would be lost, many of whom are fighting against their will or at least due to govt propaganda) AND it keeps us from spending our treasure on someone else's war.
