i don't know why every one of those people weren't thrown in jail. Hand cuff all of them and line them up on the sidewalk and call the local pd to deal with them.
Yes, most likely they will be let out right away, but if you do that enough, you get a pattern that forms and then can nail them later on for repeated offenses.

These protesters operate in sanctuary cities and states that will not prosecute or police the *******s that block traffic.
Would this not be a federal offense for impeding ICE officers performing their duties? I get it, these people are just performing for cnn to get a dramatic video. It would be far better to arrest on fed charges and let them try to get out of that legal mess.
This has been going on for 2 years, plus add in Burn Loot Murder year (same people), they are not held accountable.
