Every Democrat on the House and Senate Intelligence committees knew with certainty that the Steele dossier was a political smear funded by the Clinton campaign and lied to the public in an attempt to remove the lawfully elected President from office. The Directors of the FBI and CIA and the DNI knew that everything related to Crossfire Hurricane was a fraud but they wasted two years hounding the President with a completely false investigation by Robert Mueller and Andrew Weismann. All of it was intentional fraud committed against the citizens abd the government of the United States. Losing their government pensions is the mildest on a long list of penalties and punishment they should suffer.

Comey and Yates knew they were acting as tools of the Clinton campaign with the approval of Obama when they granted the FISA against Carter Page in 2016. Comey knew before he sent Strzok and Priestap to set a perjury trap for Michael Flynn.

They were traitors working to effect a coup against President Donald Trump. There's a thread with ~48,000 posts that meticulously compiles the evidence of treason right here on F16. Perhaps you've seen it.

I got nothing. Hopefully he's got some insights on the naval services that would not be immediately evident from his Wikipedia page.

Let's pray that his lack of Navy experience doesn't foretell a performance like that of Francis Matthews. Harry Truman picked Matthews to be SecNav based on Matthews' support for his election campaign in 1948. Matthews' ineptitude and determination to have the naval services disestablished led to the Revolt of the Admirals.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_P._Matthews

Quote:

With limited understanding of national defense issues and a near-nonexistent understanding of or familiarity with either the U.S. Navy or the U.S. Marine Corps, Matthews entered the SECNAV post in May 1949. In fact, when asked about his lack of Navy experience when named to the post in 1949, Matthews replied, "Well, I do have a rowboat at my summer home.

Matthews testified to Congress in 1949 that the Marine Corps was unnecessary because there would never again be need for another large scale amphibious operation. He was asked to resign less than a year after 1st Marine Division landed at Inchon.

If the left were smart they would fully embrace DOGE and MAHA. These should not be partisan issues at all. Instead I expect them to rail against them because Orange Man Bad.

Seeing that Trump has set up a secure JAR for his transition team to operate out of is very important. And the reference to GSA is worth noting. GSA turned over all of Trump transition communications to Comey without consent of Trump campaign and without a court order. It was a very sore point at the time. I lifted these documents from the Mueller thread it's all there in plain sight. GSA documents appear to have been mentioned as early as in Feb 16, 2017 per notes on DOJ briefing. The GSA undermined the very president they were supposed to be serving. Even John Durham and his colleagues, when they gave sweetheart deal to Clinesmith, failed to obtain his testimony on what he observed during the lawfare - at which he had a ringside seat - or even obtain a requirement that he testify to them. Durham released just enough wolf bait to attract attention but served as nothing more as the final cleaner to put the entire Russiagate scam to bed and save the shield of the DOJ from further scrutiny of their complicity in the biggest political scandal in American history. What went on in Trump round one made Watergate a traffic ticket.

Has Trump announced a pick to lead the National Park Service? That crew has been crazy with their victim narrative that the park rangers are the only thing standing between the evil Trumpists and the complete destruction of the environment. I suppose every profession needs a hero narrative.

T&P: Trump cabinet shaped by veterans of GWOT and bitterness toward the 'forever wars.'
Quote:

Trump has selected Marine veteran J.D. Vance for his vice president and nominated former Army National Guard Maj. Pete Hegseth to be his secretary of defense, Army Reserve Lt. Col. Tulsi Gabbard has been tapped to be director of national intelligence, and Air Force veteran Doug Collins as secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs. He has also appointed Rep. Mike Waltz (R-Fla.), a retired National Guard colonel and Green Beret, as National Security Advisor.

The worldview of these veterans has largely been shaped by more than two decades of war. Hegseth, Gabbard, and Vance in particular have shown a deep distrust for the foreign interventionalist ideology that underpinned the start of the Global War on Terrorism, or GWOT. Hegseth recently described himself on the Shawn Ryan Show podcast as "a recovering NeoCon for six years." Gabbard often accused the Biden administration of getting the United States entangled in multiple foreign conflicts. And Vance has opposed U.S. military assistance to Ukraine.

The ascendance of the GWOT generation comes at a time when Trump may be considering punishing military leaders for any role in the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021. A Republican senator has already placed a hold on the promotion of Army Lt. Gen. Christopher Donahue, who led paratroopers with the 82nd Airborne Division in Kabul during the evacuation.

Military veterans and national security experts interviewed by Task & Purpose suggested that the viewpoints of these prospective appointees may be indicative of distrust and bitterness within the larger Global War on Terrorism veteran community, stemming from two decades of war that spanned the Middle East and largely lacked a clear end state or strategic goal. However, whether the current line-up of post-9/11 veteran appointees are the best picks to address that sentiment and seek accountability is unclear.

Time for a reckoning

The desire for accountability comes from a "deep wellspring of dissatisfaction" that many of the veterans who spent a generation fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan have about how the wars were conducted, said Marine veteran Peter Lucier.
About right. But, I mean, at least we really nailed things in Syria, right?

I mean, sure. Lot's of brilliant political minds, from D'israeli, Bismarck, Rasputin, Machiavelli to Richelieu have been nut cases.

I don't think he's dumb, or as crazy as he sounds, is my point (not saying he rises to those aforementioned standards), and while Mary Matalin I think is basically retired and I haven't seen much from her lately, I suspect she'd strongly agree. If Carville were given magical absolute authority to run the Democrat party, they'd be a more dangerous force in 2026-2028. Just my two cents.

Carville is a cartoon character trying to stay relevant. He's bitter that no one pays attention to him anymore. Two days before the election he is on video on record saying Harris is going to win because Trump is just that bad. Screaming just look at the polls he said. Trump can't get out of his own way because he won't keep his mouth shut. Yada yada yada

Day after the election he's claiming I told you so

Carville is just a Caricature thinking he's smarter than everyone but he flip flops with the best of them and spews nonstop nonsense hoping he gets lucky.
