I like Bongino, but wasn't he just a field agent, does he have the managerial experience for this position?

That said he is obviously more qualified than the last hack and her replacement.

Yeah he wasn't a 'manager' but he's had a successful career managing/growing a good size business at this point and has paid close attention to some of the silliness inside the USSS so I think he is probably more/as qualified than anyone else to truly come in and gut it with an eye to actually providing effective protection.

He's definitely brash (Brooklyn type) but I don't doubt his intelligence and commitment to try to substantially 'fix' the thing if he accepts the position. It really shouldn't be/isn't a partisan issue, but the USSS is utterly broken and needs to be completely overhauled, imho.

He was just a field agent but he has described in detail how the USSS wastes most of their budget on activities that do not contribute to their primary mission of protecting POTUS, VP, and other protectees. He has advocated for removing ancillary missions to investigate matters that are relics from when USSS was under the Department of the Treasury. He's give more thought to how the USSS should be run and organized than anyone else I have heard or read.
