Newsome has no chance and from what I understand Michelle Obama truly hates politics. I listened to someone from the Obama White House a few weeks ago talk about this on the radio and he was beyond certain that she would never run no matter what. Apparently in the eight years she was in the WH she avoided any and all involvement in political strategy. And yes she scares me too.

I just do not see how it could be anyone other than Kamala Harris. Which is why it will almost certainly be Joe Biden.

If they replace Biden and it isn't with Newsom, it will likely be Frau Whitmer.

There are a few other governors they might go with, but Whitmer is the most likely after Newsom.

Usually it is Dems, which I agree with on the northern states, I think polling should be at least +3 Dems with those states. There are vastly more Dems than Rs up there. Anything less and the poll is useless

I think it is just more evidence of the seismic shift in party loyalties no different than the major shifts in the civil rights era. This time though instead of race it is the shift of working class and white collar voters.

There should be enough votes in the rural areas to overcome that. But Trump would need a massive ground game to get it and he does not have ANY ground game right now

Which is a huge problem. Most of the polls Trump is losing with likely voters, which means he needs a ground game to get the results of the "adults" polls that are showing him with the big leads.

IDk how Republicans allowed the RNC to shut down all their ground game offices but that was a huge mistake and a dumbass one
