These young people will bear the burden of voting for higher taxes, racist/apartheid policies and soaring crime. They voted their own oppressors into office.

Generation Zombie

They are a self centered, destructive generation that cannot think and cannot feel, so they create causes to make themselves feel important.

They are empty inside and have nothing real to offer society as their entire reality is the fake world of TikTok and Instagram.

They are largely uneducated, but believe they are highly educated because many have a worthless college degree.

This is what happens when you give folks participation awards instead of pushing them to achieve, and not kicking them in the butt when they get out of line.

They're all "educated." Just not informed. There's a huge difference between regurgitating what they're told to think and do and actually understanding the real world.

All while using their "education" as their rationale for looking down on those whom they deem to be lesser in pretty much all ways. They just are better than you in every way. Their mommy told them so. Who are you to argue with logic like that…?

Again, it's most narcissistic and entitled generation in the history of humanity. They are in serious need of some humility in their lives. Otherwise, they will never change, as there are no opportunities to actually learn. Stop encouraging their narcissism and make them work for something, and learn what failure is, and they will be better humans in the long run. They might even thank you. Never knowing what it means to be humbled is the root of their failure as human beings.

They also prefer socialism to capitalism. They are ignorant and misinformed. One side wants to try to correct it which starts with telling them how wrong they are.

Dems get excited because they have another ignorant base to court to try to keep power.

The future may not be as bright.

IQ scores have decreased in the US for the first time in decades, new research from scientists at Northwestern University and the University of Oregon suggests.

Younger generations are "expected" to have a higher IQ score than the previous age group. Since 1932, average IQ scores have increased around three to five points per decade, the researchers explained.

Those who had lower levels of education also had decreasing scores. People with higher levels of education, such as a four-year degree, had less of a decline, but not for younger test-takers, the researchers suggested.

"As scores were lower for more recent participants across all levels of education, this might suggest that either the caliber of education has decreased across this study's sample and/or that there has been a shift in the perceived value of certain cognitive skills," the authors wrote in the study.

The Left took over education and the resultant feedback loop has become impossible to reform from the inside.

Our own beloved campus is experiencing the effects. Even if the admin was committed to hiring nonpartisan educators (which they aren't): where would they find them?

So what's left is to subvert the system & try to choke it off. Direct young people to trade schools instead of college. Avoid hiring applicants with arts degrees. Support candidates who support school vouchers and ending the federal student loan racket. Vote down bonds & tax increases. Rethink donations. Get kids to church and give them extracurriculars options that are better than what schools offer. Do what you can to break the monopoly and bring viable alternatives to market.

At some point in history, the youth became convinced that intelligence was more valuable than wisdom.

I don't know where or when this started, or by whom, but it has been the most effective and insidious wedge between the young and the old I have ever experienced.

Again, it's not intelligence. It's education. Huge difference. It requires little to no intelligence to become "educated." That's the problem. Add in willful ignorance and we're in good hands…

No I don't think confederates were woke. What I think is one pary will do whatever they need to do to gain power. When keeping women and Black Americans down was no longer going to work they bought them off. It's been the business model for generations. And way to go back to the1860s for an argument. That's truly some digging.

Yes. We need a President, Congress, and Senate to come in and either terminate entitlement programs or create a huge accountability system for those who are abusing it. The government teet has long passed the ability to sustain itself. If we just do that, we will all of a sudden be able to survive as a country for a bit longer.

Hire 200,000 agents who investigate and observe those who receive welfare. If they are providing fraudulent claims, prison. Done and done. At least lose your freedoms if you are going to have us taxpayers providing everything.

No, I meant intelligence. I'm not arguing against your point. It's valid. My comment is akin to it, but not the same.

It used to be that youth were ingrained with respect for the wisdom of elders. Experience tempers the intellect to form wisdom. You don't have to be particularly intelligent or educated to be wise, though you can and often are.

But youth now have no respect for wisdom, they have their own, often self-inflated, opinion of their own intelligence and intelligence in general. The education system seems to do nothing but exacerbate this, probably intentionally.

The elderly in general, by most measure, are the vessels of wisdom. If youth don't respect wisdom, they don't feel much need to respect the opinions of the elderly. That's how you produce generations that are progressively foolish like we see today. That's where the wedge comes in. I have seen this in discussions with youth, you are dismissed simply because you are old. Your wisdom is no match for their presumed intelligence.

It started in the mid 80's when the push that everybody needed to go to college or you will be a failure in life was born.

The education bubble demonized anybody not educated in the manner they thought was correct and anybody that went into the trades was demonized because they were obviously stupid and incapable of becoming educated properly.

That gave them a much larger pool and a longer period of time to work their magic on twisting minds and teaching false concepts.

War and natural disasters can disrupt the loop. Socialism was the rage before World War 2 before people got a chance to observe close up what happens when citizens surrender their autonomy to an authoritarian central government.

Young people in college vote for democrats? How shocking … not.

I know the general wisdom is people turn more conservative as they age but I'm not sure this will happen anymore with the 24/7 news cycle and social media. And the militant ones will likely only radicalize further.

I think we're well past the point of no return though. Attempting to change voting trends isn't going to be much good when people are being influenced almost constantly by their phones where 95% of the content is backed by leftists and pushes the dem platform.

Liberals will continue to amass power and become even wackier but eventually the rubber band will snap and a lot more people are going to die before we can right the course. Assuming trans people don't shoot us all dead before that can happen though.

I'll admit it. I vote YES for Democrat propositions now - live in Austin, so a sane vote on anything is pointless.
Vote yes and prepare for the consequences.

The sooner these folks face the consequences of their vote, the sooner some of them will learn.
There is no hope for the ideologues. They will just suffer, and I won't feel sorry.

Echoing Ben above, i give it about 10 years before the country is in an all out civil war. You know it's coming, you should prepare for it, as best as you can.

What would it take to win over Gen Z? Abortion on demand up to and sometimes after birth? I am sure they would have some other extreme demands as well. I don't think that is the group that should be pandered to. If that's the type of radicalized group that has to be "won over" to win elections in this country, then we truly do need some type of peaceful divorce.

Most women in their 20s are lefties. Most men in their 20s want to get laid. The men likely vote left these days and wear a rainbow ribbon to a post election party so they can increase their chances of success.

Former Governor Scott Walker points out that under 30 voters voted for the Democrats by a resounding 40 point margin. For context on how lopsided this is, the stereotypically Conservative 65+ age demographic was only R+12 in 2022. Republicans typical strategy of insulting young voters while pushing policies that the overwhelming majority of us disagree with is not going to cut it. It will be interesting to see if they wake up to this challenge before it it too late for them as a party.

Anyone who buys anything in America is a "tax payer"
Ah. Well I paid more in just income taxes last year than I did for housing and vehicles combined. I'm doing pretty well but I'm not rich and it took me decades of work to get here. All I am trying to do is save some money to retire and live somewhat comfortably and help my kids go to college.

Yet I am told I am "Not paying my fair share". I won't even get into SS/Medicare/Property/Sales Taxes on top of all of that.

I not only don't get much in the way of benefits from the government (hopefully something from SS/Medicare someday after paying in for 50 years but it won't be much) and am disqualified from virtually all tax breaks because I am slightly above the max. Oh, my kids will also have to pay full price to go to college because I make a decent living while others go for free.

We are all "taxpayers" though, right?

The current generation of college grads is lost.

Blue states are lost.

Swing states and red states need to be the target of higher educational reforms initiated by Governors who follow the DeSantis plan of taking legislative action to rid universities of DEI and require courses comparing and contrasting capitalism with socialism and communism. There should be mandatory courses on American exceptionalism and the Constitution.

Pressure needs to be applied by state legislature on state universities to really diversify their faculties by hiring conservative intellectuals. Appointments to Boards of Trustees need to be conservatives.

State legislatures and the federal government need to establish standards of free speech at universities which if violated will results in students being expelled and university presidents and faculty being fired along with budget penalties.

Locally Republicans need to fight for control of school boards to insure better education and the elimination of woke indoctrination programs and policies.

Nah, we are stupid and clueless as a generation. A lifetime of constant indoctrination has insured that much.

What the GOP does is irrelevant to the under 30 voter base, in much the same way as a Muslim's virtuous acts have no bearing on his chances of becoming Pope.

If the republicans want young voters back, they'll need to control the education system in the same way leftists have done for the past several decades.

You must be joking. Teachers are practically certified psychologists. They should be able to convince your child they have mental illness and treat them without notifying your parents because they took so many advanced classes in college. Like math 101, psych 101, chem 101, and educ 401.
