Former Governor Scott Walker points out that under 30 voters voted for the Democrats by a resounding 40 point margin. For context on how lopsided this is, the stereotypically Conservative 65+ age demographic was only R+12 in 2022. Republicans typical strategy of insulting young voters while pushing policies that the overwhelming majority of us disagree with is not going to cut it. It will be interesting to see if they wake up to this challenge before it it too late for them as a party.

Yes, those with significantly less knowledge and experience vote overwhelmingly Dem.

Instead of importing illegal aliens, they need to change the laws so that children can work and get paid a market wage, not a mandated government set minimum wage. Kids need to work and learn the lessons from that experience. Kids today are void of reality.

We should just raise the voting age to 35. Most of these indoctrinated morons will have learned in the real world what is what by then.

Ahh the classic conservative strategy. If you can't win em over take their right to vote! Worked for y'all with women and African Americans for a long time.

You are not open to other points of view. You posting style makes that obvious.

BTW: Well, you are. So clueless you are marching straight off a cliff. You even celebrate it. When this is over, your ilk will be known as the "Clueless Generation" that destroyed America.

Just contrast your bunch to the young men that fought WW2.

Our Founding Fathers thought you should own property...have some skin in the game. I truly think they knew what they were doing. The 'takers' shouldn't be able to determine policy that negatively affects the contributors.

I'd settle for voters simply being a tax payer, and not someone receiving gov't handouts.

Race Relations in the 1990's were FAR better than today. Your bunch is wasting no time screwing everything up.

When you're an adult and your politics align with teenage girls, some introspection is necessary. Prove me wrong.

This country would be fixed after one or two election cycles if you just made a law that said if you take ANY form of government money, it comes at the expense of your vote (segregated by federal, state, and local as applicable).

That was the democrats. Read a history book. That was until LBJ figured out you could just buy their votes.

This policy would absolutely destroy Republican voters, whose base is 70 year rural whites on Social Security, Medicare and VA benefits. All "government money"

I didn't say it wasn't. I said it was CONSERVATIVES. The Democratic Party used to be the party of conservatives. It has since changed.

Can vote to change the direction of our Republic @ 18. Considered a child until 26 for the purposes of staying on parents health insurance.

Sure do love the consistency in how our politicos handle accountability.

While I understand your sentiment the fact that younger generations are voting for the people who took away their youth and freedom with lockdowns and are destroying their future opportunities while trying to make them live in a Woke prison is hard to understand. They act like drones and get very angry when someone tells them they act like drones so they try to prove them wrong by acting even more like drones. They also are convinced that they know more than anyone and all recorded history was wrong and must bend to their wisdom, the entitlement level is hard to even comprehend.

So basically stop being honest and making observations based on their own behavior? None of that is pulled out of anyones ass.

Stop acting stupid and clueless, while acting entitled and like you're the smartest person in the world, and we are all lucky to be in your presence to soak in your never ending wisdom, and people will stop calling them out on it. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

Most narcissistic generation in history needs to be called out for their behavior of entitlement. Sorry, not sorry.

A number of years ago SF tried to lower the voting age to 16 for local elections. I'm actually shocked it was voted down.

Offset by the number of people on welfare. Social Security that you theoretically pay into is also not the same as welfare. But in principle, remove the ability for people to vote themselves money and the political system would change radically.

Generation Zombie

They are a self centered, destructive generation that cannot think and cannot feel, so they create causes to make themselves feel important.

They are empty inside and have nothing real to offer society as their entire reality is the fake world of TikTok and Instagram.

They are largely uneducated, but believe they are highly educated because many have a worthless college degree.

This is what happens when you give folks participation awards instead of pushing them to achieve, and not kicking them in the butt when they get out of line.

Yep, so your solution is that Republicans just adopt the Democrat platform because that's the only way you win these voters. Every single time this topic comes up the Democrat's solution for Republican voting issues is to simply...become Democrats.

WTF even have a second party then? We all know your side wants absolute power and authority so they can enact their leftist police state so why not just own it outright instead of this passive aggressive "if you can't beat'em then join'em mentality?

BTW, another part of the issue is Democrats actively pay people to harvest votes for them and a few bucks to a college kid for their vote is an easy mark.
