1 person died in the "riots". And that was an unarmed protester that was shot by capitol police with zero justification.
The "mostly peaceful" comments are making fun of the response by politicos and media to the BLM riots that were burning entire city blocks, where actual multiple people were killed and absolutely nothing was done because of the fear of doing anything to stop black mobs from doing whatever they wanted, because being called a racist by stopping an actual no-sht riot is far worse apparently than the riot and the damage and lives lost.
The "cherry picking" is showing footage that Congress wanted to keep hidden, because it absolutely destroys the narrative we were all shovel fed by the media and government colluding to ensure we saw only what they wanted us to see.
Nobody is denying that there was some level of upheaval or violence, but you don't want to hear that. You'd much rather try to deflect by steering the argument down a path away from what he footage shows. Because you can't argue what the footage actually shows.
