Do you ever get tired of being dead ass wrong?
The following link is official Russian state media.
https://tass.ru/armiya-i-opk/14383383
From the official Russian media source in Russian...
Which translates to...
Quote:
"Moscow" is the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the lead ship of Project 1164 "Atlant". It was put into operation in 1983 under the name "Slava". In 1996, the cruiser received its current name. The main strike armament of the ship is 16 launchers of P-1000 Vulcan missiles.
Dude just take the L.
I guess TASS is only accurate when it makes Uke feel good.
There's a distinct difference in someone claiming what they are and claiming what they've done…
Only 1 of us cited official Russian state media. And it wasn't me. How do you say it?
"Dude just take the L"
Apparently, for you ALL sources of information are bad.
Unless you like it, then it's good.
And you can ignore facts as long as it makes you feel good.
I don't speak for anyone else but I am skeptical of pretty much any source initially. The issue is one of battlefield updates, in this case, and frankly only the two sides can actually provide first hand information; there aren't a bunch of observers otherwise sending updates. The Ukrainians have actually lied about those much more I think, though when the Prigy Wagner soap opera was going on I would say the Russian side had a lot of dishonesty in releases too.
The only other option for updates is to go to propagandists like Oryx or British intelligence (ISW) etc. Russians have actually been pretty up front about casualties, net. What the Russians are spending, losing, building, employing etc. can best be determined via sources…from Russia, including their official channels. No one has to agree with me of course and I don't care if many don't, but the alternative is just to guess wildly about what is going on as the Ukrainian side (and our own propaganda press) is pure propaganda/lies most of the time.
I don't doubt there's a lot of not so great information from many sources. However, I wouldn't buy ANY numbers the Russians put out. Losing face is a mortal sin there...
There's a reason why there were so many Soviet jokes that went like this:
A Russian commissar who went out to one of the collective farms. He stopped one of the workers there, and asked him how things were, and if there were any complaints.
'Oh, no, sir,' the worker replied. 'I've never heard anyone around here complain about anything.'
'We'll what about the crops?', the commissar asked. 'Oh,' the worker said, 'the crops, just greater than ever.'
'And the potato harvest?' inquired the commissar.
'If we piled all the potatoes we've harvested up in one pile, they'd reach the foot of God,' the worker replied.
The commissar reproved the worker, saying 'This is the Soviet Union, there is no God.'
'That's all right,' the worker responded. 'There aren't any potatoes either.'
