Yes, Russia is being stopped over the past year, losing ground every day, and caught in a quagmire because Ukraine is getting none of our weapons and/or selling them on the black market.

If you want to find our bullets, just look in a Russian corpse.

The other issue is that there is zero accountability/ability to audit where the aid actually goes. By design. We've had posts/articles documenting this difference but it bears repeating.

The gist of it is that unlike Afghanistan/any other war we don't have folks tracking where specific aid/funds are going on the ground, so we have to trust the Ukrainians to do it.

"Oversight from afar" of $150 billion plus (by now) of weapons/money shipped to Ukraine.

Yeah, right.

Forever war. Trust the Xidens.

So you want auditors and boots on the ground in combat to confirm things are actually being used appropriately?

I actually have a family member who went to Afghanistan as part of an audit team. Let's just say…there's a lot of waste.

No, I don't want American combat forces on the ground. It's a corrupt mess by design tho.

HRW reports new evidence of Ukrainian use of banned landmines

Human Rights Watch has said it uncovered new evidence of indiscriminate use of banned antipersonnel landmines by Ukrainian forces against Russian troops who invaded Ukraine in 2022.

The group called on Ukraine's government to follow through with a commitment made earlier this month not to employ such weapons, investigate their suspected use and hold accountable those responsible.

"The Ukrainian government's pledge to investigate its military's apparent use of banned [antipersonnel] mines is an important recognition of its duty to protect civilians," Steve Goose, Human Rights Watch's arms director, said in a statement.

HRW said it shared its findings with the Ukrainian government in a May letter, to which it received no response.

So is Z the size of petite teenage girl or is Greta T a giant the size of the world's greatest, bravest defender of sovereign democracy?

It you support Z and Ukraine after that stunt then you are just as gullible as the ignorant teen puppet and he sidekick actor friend in that picture.

Man people will wave any color flag in an effort to "fit in" with what the mainstream tells them is popular.

I'm not sure if people genuinely believe someone is going to say, "Wow, if some people say I'm a moron for not believing this, it clearly must be true."

It's not much a persuasive argument. It really just sounds like a bunch of miniature dachshunds barking because the first one one barked when it thought it heard something.

This Greta Thunberg golden child of environmentalism blows my mind.

Props to whoever is behind Greta Thunberg because they are brilliant.

Who the **** is this lady?

Somebody's kid?

Instead of buyig their kid a Nintendo they decided it was some sort of environmental prophet.

Great thunberg is being passed off a some sort of biblical figure.

The argument for cimate change is so bad, that they had to got get some weird kid as a mascot.

This lady fly's around all over the world.

They are teaching about this kid in schools and you see her mentioned all the time.

When in history have we ever listened to a kid about anything.

Now all of a sudden global warming is so bad that we are listening to a kid on hat to do about it.

Greta is the kim kardashian of climate change.

Famous for being famous.

Next they are gonna send greta thunberg to law school.

It'll be like legally blonde but with some weird chick named greta.

Greta Thunberg is the Gary Coleman of climate change.

Shows up on random shows and acts crazy. And famous for being famous.

Godspeed to this lady though. She made hay while the sun shined.

Any one of anybody's dumbass kid could've been greta thunberg but they ain't

Greta gets up every day getting paid for being greta. And your kid ain't.

The idffernece between greta and your kid, is that greta gets paid for being stupid.

Greta Thunberg is an instathot for climate change.

She was an influencer before it was a thing.

Greta thunberg won't miss a meal for the rest of her life.

So credit to her for that.

If you are reading this you''ll be hearing about this kid for the rest of your life.

She's globally famous like nelson mandela, the dali lama, gandi or barak obama.

She's just there.

One of those poeple that nobody knows what tf they actually do, or did. They just famous for being famous.

It's all propaganda.

The average person now has the ability to render 4K video.

6-months from now we are going to be arguing over whether what we are looking at is real or AI rendered.

We are about to lose the ability to quickly determine whether what we are looking is real video.

We'll be in a situation where everything is considered propaganda by default until proven different.

I agree, to an extent. Wagner being 'out of action' (including Prigozhin) for the time is good though. That guy has always been a clown/evil-doer.

We certainly need more truth tellers, which perhaps are showing up on the world stage.

I am curious what the next CCP-Blackrock-WEF play is. I certainly would not have guessed 'collapse/revolution in France' but right now I am getting suspicious. The Ukraine war has sort of served its purpose for them (inflation/BRICS strength/instability in Europe/weakening of 'western' arsenals and financial reserves). They are also facing push back on their 'green' (communist) agendas from place like Sweden/Denmark even, and Zeihan had a piece out recently about the increasing demographic desperation in China.

Who knows? I think they know their boy Xiden isn't going to be in office 5+ more years, and need to make a move soon while they still operate the US exective branch. The replacement/successor can't be equally/more of a sell out to them.

I, for one, will not celebrate our collective role/guilt at sacrificing a whole people in the interest of some sort of internet joy favored by the CCP/oligarchs of Russia/Ukraine alike, Greta Thunberg, and the Biden familia.

Please, stop acting like you give a **** about Ukraine or Ukrainians and spewing this self-righteous bull**** about how Ukraine is being "sacrificed."

You love to complain that Ukraine is only fighting because we keep giving them the weapons to do so, as if they have no choice but to do our bidding. They COULD at any time choose to capitulate to the Russians, regardless of anything we give them, yet they continue to choose not to every day. It's almost like they want to fight for their homeland. If you really supported Ukrainians, you'd want us to send them even more arms so they could end this faster on their terms. But no. You don't want to give them anything. You want them to capitulate to rapists, murderers, and war criminals because you just care so much and don't want to see them suffer anymore.

You love to blame Zelensky for continuing this war and accuse him of only doing so so he can convince to get rich from graft and corruption, yet there's no evidence of that. Are we expected to believe he got himself elected in 2019 so he could get Russia to invade in 2021 and get rich off the war? Maybe, just maybe, he doesn't want to set his country overrun and parts of it taken by a bunch of troglodytes.

You also love to blame the US for somehow starting all of this, again with no evidence. You, like the Russians, continually insinuate that we pushed Ukraine away from Russia politically and orchestrated a coup to get Russian backed leadership ousted. It couldn't possibly be that Ukrainians were tired of Russian influence and manipulation. No, they should be happy to stick with being someone else's vassal state instead of taking charge of their own sovereignty and determining who they will align with.

I'm apparently one of only about...40-60 percent of this forum that gives one iota about actual Ukrainians. Happy to keep standing by them despite our government's complicity in their collective death.

To your eventual second point/gripe, I am also one of the ones who has provided a plethora of links to how Nuland and biden started this war recklessly. Here is yet another link. You're more than welcome to disagree and enjoy war porn footage thinking you are enjoying the deaths of one side which is uniquely bad and your support is righteous, but it's factually wrong what you have stated above. The war has made Ukraines status as a vassal state, if even that, one way or another an inevitability. Congrats as to your enjoyment of that transition.

Ukraine and Russia are both demographically doomed, the former before the latter, but whatever, as some would say. 10 percent for the big guy.

Earlier this month the Russian central bank warned that inflation may be on the rise again.

Quote:

Russia's central bank sounded alarms on the economy Friday as the falling ruble and a record labor shortage add inflationary pressures.

Policymakers kept the benchmark interest rate steady at 7.5%, where it has been since September, but signaled an increase may be coming soon…

"Accelerating fiscal spending, deteriorating terms of foreign trade and the situation in the labor market remain pro-inflationary risk drivers," the central bank said Friday, noting that inflation risks are leaning even more to the upside.

Quote:

Today the Russian ruble hit a 15-month low against the dollar and it's expected to continue its decline.
Quote:

The Russian rouble tumbled past 89 against the dollar for the first time in more than 15 months on Friday, weighed down by domestic political risk concerns after an aborted armed mutiny over the weekend, and lacking any support drivers…
"The rouble continues to crumble," Alor Broker said in a note. "It lost another 1.4% in value yesterday, despite stabilising oil. The target for the dollar-rouble pair of 90 is approaching and is likely to be reached."
In addition, Russia is struggling with a labor shortage caused by a) the mobilization of 300,000 men of working age for the war effort and b) the flight of as many as a million men from the country to avoid the mobilization. The war itself is now the focus of the Russian economy which will create its own problems.
Quote:

"The problem is that the military-industrial complex in Russia has never been able to convert its know-how into some civilian areas. This means that the imbalance will grow and a "bubble" will inflate around the military-industrial complex," Alexandra Prokopenko predicts.

"Everything will 'shrink' in civilian areas because all the resources will flow into the military sector. This has nothing to do with normal growth. Therefore, in the short term, the sanctions have failed, as they are called, to bring down such a beast as the Russian economy. But in the long term, it is deeply ill."
Via Hot Air

Anecdotal but my parents were young newly marrieds after WWII. And seeral years after the ware had ended, marrying in 1950. But getting consumer goods, like household appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines and stoves required being on waiting lists as the manufacturing sector had to reconvert back to what they had been producing prior to going all in on thewar effort and retooling everything.

Those things do not turn on a dime. And the war is not over yet for Russia.

I'm not really sure what your point is, sorry. Russia has declined a full mobilization as they are hitting their recruiting numbers relatively easily now. That's also why they have the 'luxury' of moving away from/terminating the mercenary outfits now.

Munitions, weapons, it's all in adequate supply, basically. Not perfect supply or 'where they want it to be' but adequate. The Saudi's and Iran by comparison have somewhat similar 'resource' driven economies and are also doing 'ok' for the ruling class. This is a bit of an amusing war on their doorstep that has enriched (and further empowered) their oligarchs and ours (and the Bidens), is what I am saying.

I will keep my eye on who really hates this country (and has been tweeting about how horribly racist it is from a yacht in the Mediterranean this week off Greece):
