Things won't change until people in power make it change. That's why NBA players have a platform. They have the power to influence the money, who influence the politicians. When Trump/Biden/Congress money tell them that BLM then BL will M.
When a cop asks you to not reach into your car after resisting arrest and being tased. You don't reach into you car if you don't want to get shot.
How ****ing hard is this to understand.
I completely agree. However stupidly and disobeying police is not a death sentence in this country.
They have nothing to say about the Democrats who have been running these cities for decades.Cramp00 said:

You can't make a dog be a cat, but that is what BLM is pushing for. The most twisted thing in this whole mess is that the worst thing for black lives is the black lives matter movement. That is what disgusts many conservatives about blm. It is that there success will actually hurt good people, who happen to be black. Yes it will also hurt white, asian and hispanic people as well.Ol_Ag_02 said:Cramp00 said:

Those cops want to go home to their families as well. They had no idea if he was reaching for a gun, he had already had a knife. That dude had plenty of opportunity to deescalate and he did not. They did their job. It sucks all around I agree.Cramp00 said:Ol_Ag_02 said:Cramp00 said:

I'll remember that the next time you have A WARRANT for you arrest, and just choose to walk your ass away. I know, let's defund the cops, as it's always much better to have them murdered.cityagboy said:Have you watched the video? We don't know why the cops shot him. He was reaching in the car. Was there a gun there? Did he have a knife? They just assume the cops were wrong

They really appear to truly not realize the vast majority of the country couldn't care less. The majority of the country is desperately trying to get by, rebuild lives, and waiting patiently to see older loved ones. Whatever blows your skirt up NBA, MLB, NFL, college footballedtombell said:

They care only about skin color. Nothing else matters. If someone has a long criminal history, that is due to racism in their view. No personal responsibility, none.La Bamba said:
So Jacob Blake gets called 911 on him, refuses arrest, gets shot in the process and the NBA paints him as a martyr? **** the NBA and **** LeBron

Seriously what changes do you propose??? I'm all ears. I keep hearing that things need to change but defund the police is obviously not happening. So what is plan B on the changes??
However, I will offer an answer to your question. As most successful, responsible Adults will tell you, change starts with you. Look at yourself, ask yourself what attitude or action you exhibit is contributing to your situation. Defiant, and in this case, criminal behavior, by resisting arrest, almost always results in consequences or corrective measures. Irresponsible people are still held responsible(or should be) for their actions. This goes for everyone, including officers or other law enforcement that behave outside the parameters of their duty as well as the criminals and other protesters that cross the boundary of lawful expression of their rights.
Had this man chosen to listen to instructions given by police, who held an obvious advantage in the situation, he may have been walked into a jail cell. More importantly, he would have had the opportunity to WALK out of that jail cell.
