Like I said, who is paying for all those officers overtime rates? Gotta figure at least $50 per hour per officer, probably at least 5 or 6 hours. You're looking at well over $10,000 to pay 50 officers (could require more, or less officers) to stand by just in case the mob makes a move. That's not including manpower to plan and set up an event like that. Unless the university is gonna foot the bill to protect Sully, which we know won't happen, UPD cannot afford to keep doing this. I've said it several times already, UPD is already under staffed and under funded. For comparison, Alabama and LSU, with a lot fewer students, have police departments nearly twice the size of UPD.
