I don't know what would be worse, the damage that would do to your internal organs or the damage to your toilet.

I reading zombie apocalypse frequently, and that seems to be a gold standard for those who are bunkered down waiting for it to end. Same thing with protein bars and shake mixesKorbinDallas said:Tanya 93 said:

Pretty sure the dry pasta is good for a few years if not a decade. Supposedly honey never goes bad it just dries out.

U.S. guidelines recommend testing for a very narrow group of people those who display respiratory symptoms and have recently traveled to China or had close contact with an infected person.
But many public health experts think that in light of evidence that the disease has taken root and spread in Iran, Italy, Singapore and South Korea, it's time to broaden testing in the United States.

question did you do you the same in 2009? You know there was a pandemic that year.Mr.Infectious said:
Sticking w the prepping meme of the night, i stocked up on a bunch of items tonight at Kroger and will be going to Restaurant Depot tomorrow for some bigger volume purchases (beans, flour, canned goods)
Long story short, I'm not hoarding, I'm inviting friends and family to spend "quality quarantine time" together, if it ever gets to that point.
I'm allowing events to warrant my level of preparation. If theres something very unusual in the news cycle I'll wait for confirmation then act accordingly.
Two big ones today: 1) The CDC press conference today announcing "potential pandemic" and 2) financial markets (world wide) getting monkey hammered for a 2nd day. Financial markets as in oil, bonds, not just stocks.
Beyond that, you can see the shift in language on this thread and around the web on how people are viewing this more of a real threat than some over there problem to talk about for amusement.
IMO events are accelerating.
If you think events warrant. Keep up with your preparations. Write a list BEFORE going to the store. Work within a budget. Don't go crazy with impulse buys. Just get what you think you'll need. You won't be able to plan for every contingency.
Cool thanks. Will give at least some indicator of net progress, especially if and when we start to turn a corner on this thing.PJYoung said:GE said:Bothers me that the chart doesn't show new recoveries but does show new deaths - is that info out there anywhere?PJYoung said:

Ha, it won't take 24 hours without food before they'll eat spaghettios.Beat40 said:

That's funny, I do the same thing to the dogs, each one gets 1/2 of the food they love, they also each get 1/2 of the diet dog food that they don't like... they always eat the good stuff first and the diet food is saved for later when they get hungry enough to eat it ... I guess it's better than only giving them the boring diet foodSchizoAg said:Ha, it won't take 24 hours without food before they'll eat spaghettios.Beat40 said:

That's how I keep my dog from getting fat. I fill half her bowl with food she likes, and half with food she dislikes, but will eat if she's hungry enough. Then I just refill it when it's empty.

So 13 people died of a single virus today and we are supposed to lose our minds? Seems legit boys
A little issue with your plan, it is called the Constitution. Not disagreeing at all, but it is THE governing law. How do we preserve The Constitution while protecting the masses from each other?AlaskanAg99 said:

Absolutely not. Didn't even blink an eye w Mers sars or Ebola.
This one really caught my attention when they started locking down cities. Travel bans and factory shut downs were next big indicators. Made some preps then.
I was in a holding pattern w any additional steps until today.
I'm not locked in a bunker. Still working and doing normal day to day stuff. Just hyper vigilant right now. Hopefully this will pass but I think we have at least a couple of weeks to maneuver through before things will get markedly better.
China coming back online helps but there are all sorts of headwinds to battle through yet.
