disagrees with pretty much every real expert
Poorly designed and looking for press
Transmission rate is vastly overestimated
Case identification is completely wrong and doesn't take into account the fact that 95% people show fever
I think the paper is for the trash can and possibly is grossly negligent in that it unnecessarily scares people with false information

The thing that stands out to me the most is the number of positive cases showing up abroad already.
Either:
- these are people who thought they may have been exposed and were trying to flee
- the virus was already exposed to a massive amount of people

Best thing you do is probably get your family to prepare for the worst

A friend of mine is the top dog for Airborne Pathogen Research at A&M. Sent the paper link posted previously to him. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fz7EwlAJjrZs708YGPym1Xj_3PmysukL/view
His analysis of the paper is this:Quote:

Probably, but they need to track contacts before they report, otherwise it might become more difficult to find them
I'm assuming (and hoping I'm wrong) that they are trying to track down contacts and come up with a game plan. The Tenn Tech student tested on Thursday which is when the A&M and Baylor student were tested. Tenn Tech said negative last night. I figured we would hear by now.foleyt said:
So is that why they haven't confirmed it yet? It shouldnt take 3 days to determine if it's positive right?

It does not appear to aerosolize greatly that is why the mask is not very useful, if at all
fomites are the likely transmission method
That means contact with surfaces
If A&M shuts down, they are making a mistake
There is so much false and fake news I have all the facts, even the genome sequences
The outbreak is being handled well
Look at the last SARS if you want to see how things will go
This virus is less lethal and less infectious than SARS
Therefore, half the number of deaths and half the number of infections
Everything else is just kind of silly
It is very like that there will be no spreading in secondary sites like the U.S.
That means all cases will be imported
People in the U.S. should calm down
