I am an Afghanistan vet and I see where he's coming from and more or less agree with him.

He's not arguing that we should be blowing up busses full of civilians. He is referring to their religious zeal and martial spirit. A willingness to fight relentlessly to achieve your goals.

Heck if only 10% of Catholics had the zeal that these dudes do for their false religion, then things like like abortion would be an absurd and outlandish fantasy.
You have plenty of better examples to draw from. Charles Martel, Sir William Marshall, and Basil the Great off the top of my head. There's no need to emulate the Taliban, as though their zeal can be separated from their savagery.

After reading the last few maniacal ramblings of the resident Taliban supporter, now all I can picture is a bunch of internet warriors getting together in their garage and having slap fights...oops I mean "boxing matches"...to prove how tough they are.

I think that's "martial spirit" to this crew.

Note well how the trans dude is denigrating traditional male bonding activities.

Thats a good point. Nothing is scarier to the fringe elements of society than men of good character uniting, bonding, and seeking to better themselves spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically. They want us smoking weed, watching porn, playing video games and eating high fructose corn syrup.

I'm not dunking on you for not engaging in "bare knuckle blood sport". I said nothing of bare knuckle anything. Your just as bad at reading and comprehending posts on here as you are the Bible.

I just think the mental image of a bunch of keyboard warriors who want to play Taliban having slap fights in their garage is funny.

You aren't a man of good character. Hth. Especially if you are in fact bustup, who slept with a prostitute and hid it from his wife.

Again, it's very important to you that I am something that I'm not, because the idea of a God fearing straight line walking Catholic who holds my ideas is dangerous to you.

You've done nothing but preach seeing God in everyone while you spread lies about me, cuss at me, and call me every name in the book.

It's a lot easier to depose a bad King than it is to depose a corrupt Legislative, Judicial and Executive

When reading an examination of conscience it is interesting that calumny, gossiping, slander, etc are seen as a offense against the 5th commandment, thou shalt not kill, as they are basically a character assignation. Maybe a point of meditation for the proponents of nonviolence here.

For me, no - if you're that committed to a disgusting cause, the fact that you're so committed to it is also disgusting.

I would say praising the Taliban, making the case for brutal oppression of people you don't like, and sharing grotesquely antisemitic memes probably does enough in the way of character assassination. But you're right. I shouldn't even engage with those who are so depraved as to argue for that which they are arguing. It's a fruitless endeavor, and I just end up in their slop.

I mean, imagine sitting here and talking about having nothing but respect for Hitler because of how committed he was to his cause of exterminating the Jewish people. Then playing the victim when people who would suffer under the world you wish to emulate get upset and pushback against your evil.

You shared a grotesquely antisemitic meme that said the "Zionist Occupied Governments" hate the Taliban because the Taliban opposes child rape. Yeah, sharing that says much about you. There was nothing false in my statements against you. It is telling that having your sin called out causes you to laugh.

Can we all at least agree that Castro had a good literacy program. Part of our fallen nature is hate our enemies entirely, to the degree we hate even what is good in them. We can even justify hating their family and children and those who have committed no offenses. Remember that Hitler, Stalin, and Mao were all created in the image of God.

Okay, I'm done with this thread for good this time. So much evil. It's dragging me down, and I need to do what I said I was going to do previously, and dust off my sandals.
