Walt wasn't the only one getting what he wanted. Jack wanted Charlie to live, he got what he wanted. I think the whole wish theme was a big part of the show last night and througout the season. If you wanted something bad enough, you'd get it. But as Locke pointed out, not without a price. You gotta give something to get something(Claire is gone, but they got Charlie back).

I also think Hurley is gonna end up being a pretty important character. What did he mean when he said where he comes from, he's something of a warrior? Can't wait to see his backstory, as I think he's a great character. He's always around the action, so I think he'll play a role in something big.

Also, something in my gut tells me not to trust Locke. I think something is off with him.

Lost Goes Lost

With ABC landing an unexpected hit with the show, the network has quickly realized that 13 episodes just aren't enough. The standard mentality over the past few years with ABC was to give shows 13 at the start of a season and see what happens, as previously done with Push, Nevada, L.A. Dragnet, and Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital. If the show fails, it's canned within 6 (unless under contract like Kingdom Hospital).

What does this mean for Lost? Well, in order to fuel the fire they have going for them, they need more episodes, and they need time to film them. So for those of you who haven't seen the entire series so far, this is your lucky time of year as the show goes on temporary hiatus. Starting December 15th, the show will rerun from the Pilot (in full), and continue down the line until the target date of February. From there, they'll start with Episode 11 called "Whatever The Case May Be" and finish out the season on time in May with however many episodes they decide to finish off the season with.

I agree about the "give up to get" idea. Charlie had to give up the drugs in order to get his guitar back too..

Didn't Hurley say that he was a cop at one point in the ep. 2 weeks ago.

Would anyone want to give a short synopsis of last night? Daughter was home for a death in the family and we went out to eat last night with me PROMISING to record Lost and West Wing. Well, I screwed up and recorded the wrong channel. So, besides missing out I'm in big trouble with her!

This show ROCKS. Its gotten very addictive, and its not over the top, jump the shark addictive. Its GOOD addictive. I only hope they dont lose the creativity at some point and jump the shark which seems inevitable in todays programming.

It does suck that we have to go almost 2.5 months without seeing it again though.

Claire didn't give up adoption. She was on the flight because the psychic told her he had arranged for a couple in the US to take the baby but she had to be on THAT flight to make it happen.

It's kept up weekly it looks like.

Looks like we won't have to wait 2.5 months. It appears as if ABC will reair back to back eps. for at least the next 3 weeks, so that's 6 of the 11 there. With Alias starting on the 5th, however, it may just be 1 episode for the following 5 weeks, so we're looking at 8 weeks of no new Lost, unless they decided not to run all the repeats. I would think ABC would want new episodes in January, to at least give Alias a solid lead in and see if that show, which has struggled for 3 years to find viewers, can find some.

It's the cover of TV Guide this week...

It's nominated for best drama at the Golden Globes. It was named one of the 10 best shows for 2004 by AFI and it's nominated as best drama by the international press academy. Too bad none of the actors were singled out for a Globe.

I'm normally bummed when shows are in repeats, but I'm looking forward to seeing these episodes again, starting with the pilot tonight.

Not new, but something I just noticed. When Jack first meets Kate, she's rubbing her wrists(like people do when they've just gotten handcuffs taken off). Sweet.

I was disappointed with last night's episode. Nothing was discussed about Claire or the steel tube that was found...

Kate's story is not that interesting to me either.

That's the beauty of the show. Not everything will be resolved right away, though it looks like next week we learn more about the metal thingy Locke and Boone found, as well as Boone and Shannon's back story. I liked the episode, though the payoff to Kate's story, with the toy airplane, was kinda lame. I didn't get that at all. I hope there is more to it. Next week looks really good.

Also, last night was the most watched episode of the show yet, well over 21 million. It helped Alias reach it's highest ratings ever. Solid night of tv.

Next week's episode looks completely LEGIT.

I agree that last night's was less than impressive. I'll bet they are wishing they went more on the storyline last night with that kind of rating. Nothing spooky about the island whatsoever, which is the hook of the show.

Yeah next weeks episode is Boone and Shannons back story as mentioned above, and in the promo pics for the show you see something very interesting. Though I'm not really sure I should tell it here as it could possibly be a spoiler.
