They have showed him trying to build relationships with his staff and one of two things happens:

1. He's not confident enough to actually lead other men and shirks away at the first moment of awkwardness or toughness

2. He tries to copy Ted's actions straight up, but doesn't have the experience to know how to get people to open up.
Althought that one guy has now popped in his office and asked him to join the office for drinks. So it worked to some degree

Finally got to watch. Tie for best moment between Roy getting pissed that no one spoke up about his hairy ass, and Sam flipping off Jamie.

Isaac and Collin's scene at the end of the show rang very true. Having that first "discussion" with a straight friend after they get the news can be a bit unnerving. Having Isaac bring up tops and bottoms was hilarious. I don't think I had a single straight friend not ask that when I told them.

This episode was a return to form for the show. Hope they keep it going for the next three episodes.

this was a mostly great episode. my only real critique is that i though isaac cold-shouldering colin was out of character. i get that it was forced and they were obviously teasing that he had a problem with colin being gay, but i just didn't buy it at all, so the cold-shouldering just seemed petty and uncharacteristic.

in an ensemble cast of great characters, roy continues to be the absolute best part.

i thought joe walsh was the PERFECT guitarist for beard to be championing

Isaac's problem with Colin was not about Colin being gay, but rather that Colin didn't trust that their friendship could survive it. I felt exactly the same way as Isaac did with each of 4 close high school friends who came out years later. The way the show handled Isaac's frustration and anger rang very true to me.

I never asked any of my gay friends those questions when they finally told me, but I'm not too surprised if it happens a lot. Otherwise, I identified with Isaac's side of things completely. Great episode.

I figured he was just trying to play mind games and undermine Nate.

Figured he wants his head coach to be dating movie stars/models, not a waitress.
This. Can't have his coach dating a nobody in the elite, showy, glamourous, ego-driven world of Euro football.
Moreover, Rupert wants and needs enablers around him. Remember that Rebecca accused Higgins of that in the first episode.

Doesn't Rupert''s new wife get the West Ham in a divorce?

Could totally see Nate remaining on as head coach working for Rupert's wife.

Nate loses to Ted. Rupert goes insane on Nate. Nate sticks up for himself and accidentally lets Rupert's womanizing spill in front of the new wife.

I think Bex owned part of Richmond (since Rupert couldn't), but doesn't Rupert own West Ham?
Who?mikejones!

Rupert bought west ham to embarrass and ruin Rebecca and Richmond.

His loyalty is still with Richmond.

I think he's going to end up being embarrassed bigly, just like in the dart scene. It might be the final thing, where good overcomes evil, a combo of Ted, Roy and nate somehow cause Rupert's demise

First, loved this episode.

But, random question, did anyone else notice it looked like Roy was wearing a garmin watch at the press conference? Thought that was odd. Just assumed any smart watches would be Apple Watches

Probably another KC Easter egg, based in suburb of Olathe, ks. Someone knows someone there. technically a gps company. Definitely the closest relationship to apple as a competitor compared to the bbq or other random ks jokes that pop up.

Sudeikis hints at possible spin off.

Would make sense if Ted is done at Richmond as we all suspect - but it could continue as "AFC Richmond" with the other characters maybe. Just a thought.

The end of Ted Lasso is now in sight: if you are watching it as the episodes are released, every Wednesday, there are three left. Sudeikis has not ruled out that there could be spin-offs from the series, but he's also been adamant that the show, in its current form, ends here. "That was one thing we spoke about on our final day of filming," he says. "The show may be over, but what we learned here… It's not like Vegas: what happened here, stays here. No, what happened here, take it, take it to your village, take it to your family, take it to your next project. For real. Aren't funerals not always to celebrate the dead, but also to remember you're alive?"

I really hope this show just ends. We don't need 6 seasons of everything.

Whats strange about this quote from the article, is to me it reads as him saying they should all be taking the values and lessons learned on the show into their next projects and their personal lives.
The writer makes it appear like it was an indication there could be spinoffs, but that quote doesn't seem to say it. Wouldn't you normally put the question you ask, as the writer, and then the quoted answer from the actor?

That's one frustrating thing about British shows. They'll end after 2 or 3 series (seasons).

I desperately wish there were another season of "The Office" (UK), or "The IT Crowd", or "Shetland".

I've just got to deal with the fact that there are only 12 episodes of The Office plus 2 Christmas specials and that's all there's ever going to be.

Just have to rewatch Gareth Keenan at Chasers over and over.

More like Joe Biden walking up the steps to AF1

It's no surprise to see actors react or get triggered by a Republican President. At least this time there was inspiration for something light-hearted and positive from it instead of another "W." or "Vice" type of production.

I feel completely thr opposite. I love how British shows don't give you 4-6 seasons as it outlives its premise, gets repeitive/stale and generally dilutes its early greatness.

I am still catching up on the season, but watched the Amsterdam episode today, which was awesome. Read the thread through that one so it may have been caught here later but…
Shows have really hit their stride when they make awesome references that most don't even catch. The scene when he was teaching Roy how to ride and raindrops was playing?
