And what's crazy, is that there are multiple larger stadiums in lower leagues.ChipFTAC01 said:Potcake said:
A fan of the show but don't follow EPL. How many teams are located within London and what are the average stadium capacities in EPL? I'm guessing way smaller than NFL/major college stadiums?
It varies but usually there are about 5-6 London teams in the EPL. This year there's 7.
The biggest clubs seat about 60k. Man United tops that at 75k. Most of them are 30-40k. The more marginal teams that might bounce between top flight and second division are 20-30k. The smallest stadium currently in epl is Bourne mouth at about 10k.
a TOP 10 stadium on size, the Stadium of Light, for Sunderland, which seats a hair under 50k , plays in League One. For reference, when Richmond were relegated in season 1, they played in the Championship. which is the league ABOVE league 1. 50k seats makes it a larger stadium than Amon Carter, the toilet bowl in Waco,
Bolton's almost 30k seater, plays in League 2, three leagues below the Prem!
