I doubt they'd bring in Gunn to finish the movie. You know who is a close friend of Reeves tho? James Gray. That would be interesting for him to step in and finish the film.

Just a wild ass guess, and I hope not true, but my bet is that his personal reasons are either addition or depression-related.

I finally heard what the issue likely is, and if so it's pretty sad. Reeves and his wife of 27 years have one son together, who is apparently really sick. Whether it's a natural illness or drug/alcohol related, I'm not sure (I'm guessing the former), but it's the one issue that finally makes sense of all the delays.

That said, as of now, it doesn't sound like this will affect the release date of the movie. It's still so far out that they have plenty of padding in that regard. To the point where I'm now wondering if this was anticipated/built in, and that's why the crazy lead time. We shall see…

Wow. This is shocking, but I guess also kind of expected at this point, considering a recent Pattinson quote where he said "we're going to figure it" in a way that didn't quote sound like the answer was as simple as waiting a couple weeks for Reeves to return.

More than anything I just feel bad for Reeves. Man.

But the show must go on, and at least A) Soderbergh could not be more perfect for this, and B) Reeves still gets to oversee the whole production...

The below is also good to remember. Two-thirds of the movie has already been shot and, on a movie this big, damn near everything left to shoot has no doubt already been storyboarded, pre-vissed, extensively planned, etc. Really all Soderbergh has to do is help point and move the camera how Reeves already envisioned (alongside the cinematographer, who is obviously still there), and make sure he gets the performances out of the actors Reeves has already rehearsed with, all of whom have been playing their characters for months...

I stopped myself from reading the tweet. Are we talking movie spoiler? If so, I'll have to dip from this thread. Don't want any spoilers, if I can avoid it.

I would never post actual spoilers. It's simply an image that offers potential confirmation of roles that have been speculated about / discussed here for months. In other words, there's no new information offered that hasn't already been posted in this thread or that we haven't already discussed previously. The only "news" is that those roles are looking more likely now. That's it.

Just because something leaks doesnt mean it isnt a spoiler. If the script were to leak, posting the plot and story would also be a spoiler, even if it is leaked.

But whatever, I'll just dip out.

I have to agree. I think that's a spoiler as well and should be taken down before others read it.

This is on the level of posting a photo of Mark Hamill giving David Prowse a father's day card and saying "It doesn't prove Vader is Luke's father, maybe they both just like Hallmark."

Not to mention, if true, these roles will all be revealed the second the first trailer drops, in the marketing, in endless interviews, etc.

If true, it will be known/official that Bryan Tyree Henry will be playing Harvey Dent. If true, it will be known/official that Sebastian Stan is playing Victor Zsasz. If true, it will be obvious that the Court of Owls are in the movie. Again, all of which are things that have been named OVER AND OVER AND OVER again in this thread already.

I think its only a spoiler of you reveal a character is in a movie that wasnt advertised OR if you reveal plot points before a movie comes out.
Harvey dent being in the movie and who is playing him isn't a spoiler.
A spoiler would be if it was known an actor was in thr movie, and its the type of role where he is secretly another character and you spoil the reveal.

I do think its dumb to post character/actor announcement leaks, as those are in the neighborhood of spoilers but I get that there is an industry for it
