Production halted again.
I had to check the link my buddy sent me to make sure it wasn't from 2024 or 2025.
Just gotta laugh at this point.

He's got to be sick or something or someone in his family is. This is crazy.
I doubt they'd bring in Gunn to finish the movie. You know who is a close friend of Reeves tho? James Gray. That would be interesting for him to step in and finish the film.

I didn't. I was responding to someone else bringing it up.

That said, as of now, it doesn't sound like this will affect the release date of the movie. It's still so far out that they have plenty of padding in that regard. To the point where I'm now wondering if this was anticipated/built in, and that's why the crazy lead time. We shall see…

Just a wild ass guess, and I hope not true, but my bet is that his personal reasons are either addition or depression-related.

I think this makes perfect sense. Soderbergh will match Reeves style and that of what's already been shot, is great with actors, and won't rewrite the script on the fly. He's also a masterful director and good friend stepping into a truly harrowing situation, but also already… https://t.co/o0RapVcPJA

He also helped Gary Ross by serving as second-unit director on The Hunger Games, filming much of the District 11 riot scene. Yes, that scene had Soderbergh's fingerprints all over it.

I wrote a column about this one yesterday. Since then, sources have reminded me that Reeves has already done all the prep, which is 95% of the work on big movies like BATMAN 2, and that Soderbergh works quickly, which is why he makes even MORE sense. Keeps the timeline on track. https://t.co/QP8Ah3xt1s
