Of the last two posts in this thread announcing reboots, I am WAY more stoked about X-Files.

(Not that I ever watched Girls in the first place, but my wife did and I'm pretty sure she's also not gonna care about this. And the two really talented people from the show are now far too big for it.)

Honestly? Sign me up for this. I loved Girls, cringe and all. Mostly, though, I thought it was a legitimately great show. Yes, one that **** the bed in the finale, and I'd be surprised if these five episodes reach the highs of earlier seasons, but overall I'm down. If no Driver, though, I just really need at least Ray to return, who was my favorite character by far.

Saw that which doesn't make me optimistic.

Last season had the bones of something interesting and I enjoyed it along the way, but the whole point of True Detective is to explain the crazy event that started everything off and she just kinda glossed over that part and very much did not stick the landing.

(I know we've had this discussion before.)
