I loved the first two books in this series as an angsty teen, the remaining two are a bit of a blur though I remember reading them. Story got kind of bloated near the end.

I saw that season two of The White Lotus was recently announced for October on HBO (following House of Dragons later this month), taking us to the end of the year to round out HBO 2022's slate. I then got curious about their 2023 slate and these are the highlights so far...

Barry - S4
The Last of Us - S1
Perry Mason - S2
The Righteous Gemstones - S3
Succession - S4
True Detective - S4
Winning Time - S2

No massive House of Dragons or Westworld-type seasons, but The Last of Us comes close, and everything else is quality top to bottom, and honestly even more exciting to me than the big fantasy/sci-fi stuff.

I can't wait.
