Trailer, show premieres on December 20
Missed this before, thanks for the info. And this is not directed at you, but rather the Reddit dude. How could he be proven right or wrong if he says its horrible but great (extrapolating "awful but also absurdly entertaining" for effect)?rhutton125 said:
Looks pretty good!
There's a guy on Reddit that - hear me out - legitimately seems to be a Netflix insider of some sorts. Posts a lot about the Marvel Netflix stuff, and why we'll never see those actors as those characters again. I know it sounds like BS but his track record gives him a lot of credibility. Mentioned Jeph Loeb resigning about a week or two before it became news. Things like that.
Anyway, he says that the Witcher is kind of awful but also absurdly entertaining. Action and monsters are amazing. Ciri is great, plot development is pretty thin, Yen is kind of middling, Cavill is "maybe not good." Some details about which book stories are portrayed in which episode.
I guess we'll see in about two months. He'll share some scoops after that too. Should be pretty easy to disprove him if he's full of **** but I think he's legit.

Looks good. I think Eva Green would have made an excellent Yennefer.

I thought Yennefer was supposed to be hot?!
I ****ed her 20 times in the game.
But Triss Merigold will always be my Baby.
They did the ol' replace the ginger with a black actor for "diverse audience" reasons.

Everything looks great except for maybe when Cavil opens his mouth to speak. Feels like a very forced weird voice like Bale as Batman.
Interesting comparison.JRC0811 said:
About 40 seconds in you can hear the video game (VG) Witcher's voice for a quick comparison (and an awesome trailer for the game).
Cavil's voice is way more Bale's Batman than the VG one... The VG Witcher's voice is almost closer to a whisper than whatever Cavil is doing. Cavil also seems to be doing a lot more scowling, but, that may just be the trailer.
I'm hopeful this series will be really good. The books are very interesting in a Game of Throne's meets Grimm's Fairy Tales kind of way, and the Witcher video games are some of the best ever made with very good, complex stories.
I just want the side quest where Geralt's drugged and his horse starts talking to him.MGS said:

Now let's just hope the series honors it's promise to show full hardcore penetration in every one of the show's 40 sex scenes.
If you pulled that from the reddit page, I made and posted that meme yesterdaywangus12 said:
