This says to expect The Mighty Eighth mini series from Hanks and Spielberg in 2019. the 3rd part of the Band of Brothers and Pacific trilogy of WWI mini series.

That's encouraging, but the link is also a year old, so I wouldn't hold out hope for that 2019 date. We'd know by now if it was coming out next year. I'm guessing it's tentatively 2020 at this point.

At this point I don't think anything will capture what Band of Brothers was. A huge part of BoB was the interviews and it's been a lot of years, even if they did the interviews a few years ago time is a big factor.

The Eighth Air Force was a United States Army Air Corps group. RAF Bomber Command typically flew night raids against German targets due to heavy losses during day-time raids. We Americans took the day shift. So the bolded word in the quote gives me pause, albeit only a bit, concerning historical accuracy.

Having gone down that historic accuracy path, I will follow that up with heck yeah, bring this one to the small screen! But I'm sure some will blast it, if and when it is finally made, in the inevitable massive use of CGI to duplicate 1,000+ heavy bombers unloading hell on Germany.

I don't know if this quite belongs here, but it didn't seem to warrant its own thread, either...

Man, this may sound weird, but for me Daylight Savings always signifies that new Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, and Veep are just around the corner. GoT is the first big show that usually starts again a little after the time change, when it's lighter outside, and lately I've always associated the two. I can't believe we have to wait another entire year for it and the final season of Veep. At least we get Silicon Valley in two weeks, and Westworld in six, but it's just not the same. Though, I do admit that all three shows - GoT, Silicon Valley, and Veep - having their final seasons simultaneously airing next spring will be pretty cool.

This has to be one of the least talked about shows in HBO's history. I never saw it advertised, I didn't see a single second of it, I don't know anyone who watched it, and I didn't see even one article written about it until now...

Damn, that looks fantastic. Best trailer yet. Also glad to finally get an exact date: June 3.

Sharp Objects finally has a premiere date...

Also, a reminder Fahrenheit 451 premieres this Saturday, though I'm seeing almost no buzz for it, which is strange considering the cast and title notoriety. Probably not a good sign.

Can't decide how I feel about it yet. Looks good! However, Michael B Jordan does over-act a little imo.

I'm pumped for Succession, it looks awesome. A family at war with itself for control of an empire, cast looks great. I watch the trailer just about every time it comes on before I stream something on HBO Now.
