Seriously. The scale insane. The future real world is jaw-dropping in and of itself - like something out of a movie. But to add Nazi World (I think it's officially called "War World") on top of that is just crazy. I can't imagine what this show's budget is.
Damn looks amazing. And Frenchman Vincent Cassell at the end too. He's good. Hasn't done a ton of American films but was in oceans 12 and black swan among others.

His Dark Materials looks very interesting. This series is NOT related to the movie from 2007, right?
I also know this series upset lots of Christians moreso than other fiction. Other than that I'm not sure what is going on but I'm tempted to read the books before this comes out.

Yeah. I would be hard pressed to recall a scene in that trailer that wasnt in the movie.
Rewatched Succession this week, hot damn it's still great the second time around. I can't wait for Sundays with season 2 and The Righteous Gemstones.

I was confused and disappointed by that trailer. I've read the book and seen the movie. I don't care if they stick to that plot or not, but from the trailer I've got zero idea what this show is about..... I'm going to watch, but that trailer certainly didn't get me excited.
Contrast that with the Dark Materials trailer. I've got no idea what the source material is, but I've got a decent idea what the show is about from the trailer.

I gave Euphoria a shot, but I doubt I'll be coming back. For all its "shock" I was mostly just bored. Past all of the screaming for attention, it was nothing we haven't seen a million times before, plot-wise. That, and the characters are all kind of terrible, in myriad ways. It'd be one thing if the show made up for it, like Succession does, with cleverness and amazing/hilarious dialogue, but it just doesn't. At all.

My wife wanted to watch this, so I tuned in. I find the shock-factor ridiculous and a massive exaggeration of teen issues. They take, what is likely to be the 1-2% cases, and then build stories around weirdos:
Transgender, check.
Drug addict, check.
Homophobic/Gay Football player, check.
Chubby girl on Pornhub, check.
I mean come on. The only redeeming quality of this movie is the cinematography in some of the scenes.

Yes!! I'm glad the details of Fielder's show are being kept under wraps in case it's anything like NFY, where secrecy was so important.

SOOOOO looking forward to the mid 80s version of this. It'll be a lot more familiar for me - I'm a product of the 80s and yes that was my intro to porn in the straight to video era, but also the music, fashion and NYC, etc.....
